Last week i was revising my greenhouse and accidently took off one of the main stalks on a medium size Blue Satellite 70+ days into vegge. it was topped at a young age so it has two stalks. within a day it started showing female traits. wondering if any one has heard about stress sexing.

I read that stress will only make for more male plants, I think it is some kind of a survival thing, a male can pollinate a large number of females so if the plant is under stress, it chooses to become a male to increase the chance of survival of the specie. It makes sense...

wouldnt it be the other way around? one male can pollinate alot of females... im not saying that from sressing them they are more likely to become male. I have 4 plants outdoors and i topped them..... where the new stalks shot up, i can see my males and females. I couldnt believe it. Im from lower michigan and i had them in the ground on 4-20. they are about 4 feet tall and its only the end of june. but yea today i was suprissed as hell when they showed their sex. They are sweet purple and have at least 3 and a half months left to grow. gonna be huge!
