Stretching During Flowering

Hi, is there anyone that can help me out
I put my plant on 12/12 last sunday its been a week now and the top internodes have stretched 6 inches, is this good or bad?

And why is it doing this?

Will the bud fill in the gap?

Any help will be great, as this is only my secong time growing, thanks.

First pic is the day i switched it to 12/12, and the second pic is a week later.

Your light is pretty high up...it might be stretching to it. Is that a CFL or an HPS lamp? I can't tell...but they do grow 2/3rd of their height during flowering...

It's a CFL 2700K for flowering and its only between 2/3 inches above the plant, i heard of it stretching abit during flowering but i didnt think it would be this bad.

Will the bud fill in the space where it stretched?

Or is my main cola now gonna b small and scraggley because it stretched so bad?

just add more lights of you want more bud. The more 2300k cfls the more the branches will fill in. That and the proper nutrients.

thats what happened to my last plants, this time im gonna tie em down or put a small cage over em
so they produce 2 main colas and prevent alot of stretcing.

also i will be suing 12/12 after 1 week of veg
