Struggling clones

I'm starting to lose faith in my cloning ability. Last time I used this aero bucket years ago, I had 100% success with roots in 5-10 days. Now I'm on my 2nd attempt of clones and they are taking 3-4 weeks to root and then dying once transplanted. The clones that rooted from the first batch, only a couple roots sprouted. They have been in soil for 2 weeks not and have hardly grown at all, while turning more yellow and dead looking each day.

In my last post, I checked lighting, PH, water temp, ambient air temp, humidity (although not as important for an aero bucket), nutrient levels, all seem to be in the target range. When I clones with this method a few years ago, I didn't pay attention to any of this and it was so easy!

I'm starting to think maybe it's bacteria that's preventing growth and rooting? Do these pictures look like any form of root rot, and fungus (will post once the site lets me upload). I've been fighting powdery mildew on the flowering plants that these came from. Although no mildew was present on the clones I took, maybe they still were contaminated from the get-go?

they were contaminated from the get go. choose healthy donors to make copies next time for better results hopefully.
all those controls - ph lighting, temp, air temp, nutrient levels, humidity too - are important in any growing area, keep an eye on them.
better luck next time. what is your room temp and what nutrient do you use?

I was using B-1 in the bucket solution. Room temp is about 70-76.

Some strains don't clone as well also. I can clone 6 of one strain with 100% success and at the same time 6 of another with 0% success.

Are you sure the ambient temp isnt too cold? when you had success before the nights were probably a lot warmer and clones like warm temps.
