me and my buddy went today to check for grow locations. we found a really good site, 2km away from anything. so we treked through the forest and bush and along the way there was shotgun shells, and dogtracks...not a good sign, we followed narrow paths through the bushes and we got to the end of 1 and we seen 3 pot plants each 1 foot tall in a triangular formation. Someone else was growin here,,,FUCK!!
we ran back to get to our car and we forgot how we got in, we found a wide path big enough for a car so we followed that, about 2-300 yards in we got to a bend and me and my buddy stopped, 10 feet in front of us was an 50 year old man with a shovel in one hand and a leash with a dog at the other end, we dipped to the left and ran through the forrest as fast as we cold go. the dog was barkn and I heard the man call his dog . we kept runnin not lookin back , we made it out to the car and drove home.

We want to share this space with this man but we dont wanna confront him or get him angry either. he looked shocked to see us as we were to see him. anyone got any suggestions i still wanna grow there but i dont wanna interupt his operation, i was thinking of typing up a note saying" we respect your plants and we will not go near them ever again, we would like to share this field with you. we come in peace" and leave it next to his plants

WHAT WOULD YOU DO?????

What i would do would be to call it a day, pack it in & look for a new spot to grow, you do not know those growers nor do you know how serious they take security, you also do not know the situation, they could possibly be in a position from previous felony convictions where if they are caught they go back in for life.

I would not want to confront a man who believes his only choices are extreme violence or 40 years, not over some weed anyways.

1) Ask to grow by his side, that way you can take advantage of an optimal grow location as well as avoid getting caught

2) then again on the other hand, if he declines and wont allow you to grow by his side for reasons including you might tell on him, you could just steal his weed right before it's ready to harvest

or you could do both

Some of the responses here are killing me,all of you guys who think its a fantastic idea to waltz up to an unknown man,in the woods no less & start a conversation about sharing the same plot of land to grow on are in la la land.

Do you guys honestly think all growers are just a bunch of chill stoners with tie dye t shirts & are looking to make friends, maybe invite you to their home to listen to some bob marley & talk about how cool growing is & have big fun smokin out of their hooka ?

Your in the woods, you run across an old dude with a shovel & a hound dog,the best thing you can do is to thank god he didnt cut your heads off & run you through a tree chipper, then feed the remnants to the pigs.

Some people are serious about this shit,i mean serious too,not the usual tough talk about i woulda this & if he did that i'd do this kinda shit, wake up kids, find a new spot & one thats not in the same woods.

Man, this guy looks like a lonely old man looking to grow a few plants for personal use. Plus I live in Canada so most people growin 3 plants are hippies. The field that we share is bushy as fuck and we decided to plant on the opposite side (1000 feet away). We decided to never set foot near his patch or his side of the field, although today y accident we discovered the same patch again. i know it was too because i dropped some fishin line when we left the first day and when we went back it was there, i removed it and disposed it 100 yards away from his patch.

I think we can grow in peace without ever seeing him again.

well. sux about ur plants dyin, but i wouldnt suggest fuckin with that old man, hes got a shovel for a reason ;) and u to him are just a bunch of little bastard kids who he probably dont like cuz of ur generations of disrespect, if u asked to grow next to me, id slap you and tell u to find ur own little boy. and im sure a few other people would too. dude, come on now, think about it...

This year Im older and wiser, I found a new spot better than anyspot Ive ever had. Its hard work growing outside and Ive gained more respect for people who do try to grow a lil bush in the wild. I never went back to his patch and I never will, this year has been tough and I only ended up with one female. I understand the effort people put into this shit and the pain and heartache you feel when your plants get fucked over. I dont plan on fuckin with anyone elses patch ever again.

I would have turned around at shotgun shells and dog tracks.
Same Dude! When I waas younger I once made the mistake of messing wit someones crop, it was more than 3 plants though, bout 500 or more. Turned out to be the Hells Angel's running that crop. That certainly turned into a long day... Never again. Now I just mind my own business. It is far easier to grow a few of your own plants than to try and steal other ppl's.
