I have a plant right now that did the same thing. She is now 4 1/2 months old and only a foot tall. Mr. sunshine is right unless perhaps you are living on a deserted island and have no way to possibly obtain another marijuana seed.

let it dry out some more before you water again. I wouldn't through it away just yet. let her roots breath and she'll bush out. Had a couple bagseed girls do that to me, and yes they were definitely overwatered.

At that size she should be in a smaller container. When a seedling first goes into dirt the plant spends most all it's energy growing roots to support the plant. Not until the root system grows to the pot sidewalls will it start to show much growth above ground. You should transplant her into something smaller, nothing larger than a one-gallon pot. The roots will reach the pot sides much quicker and start to green up faster. Leave her in the small pot until the plant is twice as tall as the pot is wide. Experience has shown me that frequent transplanting is required if you want the plant to be as bushy as possible in the shortest amount of time.

Good luck, BigSteve.

Maybe. Kind of.

If you look at your plant from above, and the leaf spread it to the edge of your container is to the edge or 1X1.5X beyond, it's time to translant.

For example, you have a 4" cup. You have a 6" wide plant viewed from above. Prime time to transplant.

Roots will be well filled in within the pot.
