Thanks highstandards , I was wondering did you know what type of soil do I need in the 1 gallon pot ? For example soil with super soil or just soil?

hey sub,

i've read that you use bcuzz bloom stimulator at days 30 and days 45. i have some bloombastic bloom stimulator, made by atami as well... i think it's their new version. do you have any experience with this product? i am thinking about adding some in addition to sucanat.

The reason I use Bcuzz is only bcuzz someone gave me a huge bottle of it. I do not think Bloom stimulators hurt at all but unlike when I use these products with un complete soils and see huge results that is not the case with Super soil.

I am bad about making a tea at day 30 using Bud Candy ( My new fav sugar) and a dash of this or that like Bcuzz and maybe a shot of Pure Blend Pro and even some H2 by roots but I do this is tiny amaounts and only to huge plants that I know can use more goodies at the end. I dont teach this cause its not exactly science but more of a wing it thing and you can mess up more than help Which I have by not listening to my own advise of leaving then alone.

thanks for the response sub. i'm very hesitant to feed anything except regular water due to the high EC of the supersoil but it's interesting to note that sometimes there can be beneficial results. i've got a couple of plants that are bigger than others so maybe i'll try some on one of the big ones.

thanks again

Anyone notice in High Times the article says mix with 8 bags but on here it says 6? The bags are 1.5 cubic feet each which is roughly about 10 gallons. Just wanted to know if it was cool to use 6 instead of 8. Don’t want to make it too hot.

Also anyone using Fox Farm? I was going to go with 2 to 1 ratio of Ocean Forest and Light Warrior. So that would be 4 bags OF and 2 bags LW.

Sorry just want to make sure I get this down right so I don't end up frying my plants.

HT data can not be edited but my internet post can
I am currently using 4 bags of Roots and 4 bags of Biobiz light I have posted that its 8 bags now like 10 times on this thread so to be cl;ear its 8 bags :)

OFF grows piss poor weed IMO

Your ratios however are correct

any experience with strains not liking supersoil sub? are there ever initial bad reactions before they become accustomed to the soil?

My Purple kush plants are definitely not thriving :-(

certainly Cheese absolutely hates Super soil and will not tolerate it.
I grow it in pure roots only

Some light feeders certainly cannot handle this 4100 PPM soil mix

I also have a theory than the plants I grow in it are used to it as thats all they know BUT people world wide use the recipe so its rare a strain hates it but they do exist

shit.

how long should I give them to acclimate before I change something? what would you do? theyve been transplanted for about 10 days now

I have two purple kush and one G13 and the pk's are defnitely not loving it and the G13 seems to be tolerating it a little better.

I just picked up some querkle clones though. How does querkle like the soil?

thanks alot sub!

Thanks, but you most certainly did not post that 10 times. And OFF grows piss poor weed “IMO?” What’s that mean? Are you just trying to be a dick to me?

Hey guys I wanted to know if the White Widow and Blueberry strains react well to the Super Soil Mix?
Ducth genetics are pretty mutated from all the inbreeding and generally do not work well in hot soils but its all a matter of proper use Id use only 20% Super Soil

Subcool Whate are some of the best strains to grow in super soil mix and do you have any experience with greenhouse company seeds like the Arjan Ultra Haze #1?

Yes I do and so as to not be rude I will simply say no serious grower that I know grows any of Arjans gear more than once.

Its much more rare that a strain of Cannabis will not tolerate hot soil than the other way. Cannabis is a high energy plant and loves to be pushed.
I am not going to sit and make a list here but I have seen hundreds of strains grow well in Super soil including ChemD, Purple Urkle, Mendo Purps, Jacks Cleaner, Killer Queen etc.
The only strain I have seen that just hates it is the UK cheese it prefers a much lower EC.

you need to try it yourself with the soil
with different strains, different size pots, etc.
first time i tried it i used 60%
and highstandards thinks thats a burn but not all of them did so bad, so its up to you and the plant
so start off little
thats why we need a book called the 420 things that can go wrong with your plants

I'm sorry, I dont understand what you mean.

Just trial and error? yep, there is no way around that!

Sub, how long would you give a plant to "adapt" to the soil before flushing? Should I flush if they do not adapt?

subcool

Well-Known Member
Ya cant really flush super soil without drownding the plant
If I mess up to bad I will just kill a plant and start over using a different ratio looks like to be transplant was just a bit to early most strains will grow into it we call it hot feet hehe
