I don't know about powdered humic acid, but I know you can get liquid humic acid at most hydro shops. I got a quart from Greentrees for $10. I had to do a bit of math to convert the 2TBSP of 100% dry humic into the diluted liquid amount but I think it worked out ok.

I really wouldn't skip the humic acid. It helps make the nutrients in the soil available to the plant.

I'm also adding some to my water, along with molasses, every few waterings.

Hey, subcool! Excellent Youtube tutorial! Im planning my first outdoor grow, and I think your super soil may be what I need as my girls will be in guerilla gardens, and I'm not going to be out there bothering them very often. I need a self-sustaining soil. I've been told that the natural soil in my area is actually pretty good, but your input is of course, very welcomed.

I've already got MOST of the seed my brother and I plan to grow this summer. The strains I've already got are Super Lemon Haze, Himalayan Gold, A-Train, Mama Mia, and Original Skunk #1. Do you(or any1 else) know these strains to be too timid for hot soil, like this? If so, what adjustments can I make to avoid catastrophic over-fertilizing? Can you suggest a good outdoor TGA-Subcool strain for the northern midwest?(Chicago-St.Louis area)?

Thanx, not only for this thread, but for all the help you give to growers everywhere. Your a good dude.

Subcool, not to bother but ive got 2 questions.
#1 do you have any strains that are clones at any nor cal dispensarys such as the querkle. I am a total lover of the purple urkel but lost the strain a few years back and have not been able to find a decent replacement. Even if you could suggest a dispensary that would have some suitable clones for your super soil would be a great help. For awhile now all the clones that ive seen at the clubs are rather weak.
#2 when you top dress after day 30 (say the strain is querkle)what would generally go into a mix for the following 4-6 weeks and how often would you "dress" it? such as
week 5 added this and that, and week six added that and a lil extra sugar..... if that at all makes sense.
thank you for your time and patience your help is greatly appreciated

good day sub! How about Super Lemon Haze results. I know I know........Arjan's beans. How well does DNA #18 do in the SS. Have you worked with DNA or Reserve Privida?

I picked up some Querkle clones from Alternative Herbal Health in Long Beach, CA. They told me that they source theirs from Oaksterdam in Oakland and ive seen the Querkle in Oaksterdam's catalog also. They used to also have Jack the Ripper.

My Querkle's look good, but DAMN are they slow growing! Been vegging for 65 days now and theyre only about 10" tall. Theyve been topped and they are bushy as hell though and very pretty and strong smelling, even during veg.

I think sub just replaces the top 2 inches or so of potting soil with supersoil when topdressing at day 30, nothing really else after that as far as i can gather

just checked the calendar and they are actually on day 64. They didnt really ever "take off" when planted as clones and I topped one and supercropped the other.

They are twice as wide as they are tall though with many many new shoots

You've already answered the question of why it's growing slow... It's been topped. It's growth will now be more out than up.

thats one reason, but its still very true that they are slow growers. My purple kush's are known as short, slow growing plants also but they were still 22" inches after 65 days and being topped 4-6 times.

dont get me wrong though, i really like them, they are just going to need extra veg time. Theyre very beautiful and strong smelling plants

Just read most of this post tonight. Very nice!

I know someone else asked if you needed to flush the super soil...do you? I didn't see any responses in regard to the question.
