Sudden issues with two plants

well, one of them started to get leafs turning yellow a week or two ago. Really random at the bottom only. It's a Purple Kush and is being fed Fox farm soil trio and cal/mag. Now, since a few days, leaf tips on the top are drying up and curling down. Also the leaf yellowing is progressing.
I suspected a deficiency of nitrogen so I upped it a little and it appeared to get worse. I'm following the ff feeding schedule, not what the bottle says and I'm not feeding full amounts. Here's a pic of the Purple Kush.

The other one is my White widow, it gets the same food and amounts but suddenly random leafs get these brown blotches. It just started a few days ago. Here's a pic as well

Both got , for the first time, flushed with ff sledgehammer yesterday, to get excess salts out of the soil.

If anybody knows what causes either of this, I'd appreciate any pointers.

Is not n def, u got burned tips and thats overfeeding., Your problem is most definitely a ph lockout. What is your ph? Have u check ur runoff ppm's?

My run off is usually between 6 and 6.5, measured with a digital meter (I can't use test strips and that kinda stuff cos I'm colorblind to a degree)
I guess flushing was not a bad idea on that one then?
Also, with ph lockout, how does one overfeed? I don't quite understand.

Stopped the progress of this by flushing. I recalibrated my ph meter and literally put each pot in my bath tub and ran ph 7 through each one for 5 minutes. I don't do organic so the little chlorine shouldn't hurt. Then I let it dry up and watered without nutes. Ph in the runoff was now 6.5 and ppm was between 15 and 1700. my tap has 500ppm already.
So I'm gonna water without nutes once more and see where I'm at

MadButcher, can you pull one of your plants out of the pot and check to see if you have salt build up?
When I checked mine, Once I used a paint stick and moved the soil away from the sides of the pot and noticed it had salt build up, the other way I did it was I just took my girl and rolled the pot in my hands to loosen up the soil, then I had another pot ready and took my left hand put the Stem between my fingers and turned her over till she fell out in my hand put her in new pot and it came back very nice.

But I would add make sure it is salt build up first, you can also flush it out, I said that many times when in doubt flush it out. Good Luck hope you get her figured out.

Ummm... like i said above, the one with the leaf tips i got figured out.
The one with the brown blotches got a little worse yet. I'll know more after watering tonight. Both got flushed massively.

Well that is a good thing then, when in doubt flush them out.
keep me posted,
I seen you mentioned leaves curling, I had what looked to be the same thing and it was a salt build up.
Like I say good luck, hope you get it.

It was just really weird to see that happening. But I realize that i fed it something it's not supposed to get since a few weeks :(
Oh well
