Sugar leaves turning yellow/brown

Rs11’s at 8 & 1/2 week
Had the ripener a to early‍
They are a week from being ready but should I chop now and wet trim to get rid of as much if the dying sugar leaves or wait it out?
Worried the sugar leaves will cause mould and more so the longer I leave them!! I’m pretty new to this so lots of guess work
Any advice be much appreciated

Ive never wet trimmed and I've never seen a sugar leaf cause mold.

So if the sugar leafs turn completely brown they’ll be fine? If so you saying leave up til the end??

yep its fine.

naah when they are brown that means they are dead. and dead plant matter burried inside humid fresh buds does give an excellent feeding ground for all types of fungi.

Have you looked at the trichomes under a glass loop?
To answer your question, I would wet trim your plants. Wet trimming or dry trimming are both matters of choice but since your new and none of us here on RIU truly know your growing conditions you should wet trim your plants. Lay all your trimmed buds out to slowly dry somewhere. Somewhere with air movement.
I won’t get into a bunch of details, just trim and slow dry....

I’ve chopped and got them hung drying at temp 20 with plenty of air movement
They don’t look bad but I’m presuming I’m gonna drop some weight for them being a week early which is a shame cos they’re pretty solid
As to looking at them through a magnifier, I have and they need another week or so but the change from yellow to brown as happened overnight so (again) presuming that it’ll rapidly continue and then like you said it’ll be in the middle of the buds and there’s nowt you want dead in the middle of there!!

Early or not you’ll have home grown to enjoy. Check out my journal bro. Lots of eye candy there. I don’t share many pics anymore for security at the present time.
