Sugar water for tighter and denser buds.

iI've heard that in the last week of flowering before flushing your plants that adding an amount of sugar to just plain water and watering your plants will make your plants develope tighter denser nugs for harvest. true or false? why?

Use mollasses.. its the carbo hydrates. It will add 20% wieght at least.
Really?!?!? This seems like a huge increase in weight. Im not doubting it as much as im just questioning it. Do you know from experience on clones or just hear say?

wow i didnt know that it added 20% weight.. is that all it does? does the extra weight bring extra THC? or is it just denser nugs with the same thc

im sure it makes the taste sweeter

In Hydro basically you get the same thing using products like AN CarboLoad and other "Carbo-Booster" Products. Their main ingredient is sugar basically.

I don't quite believe the claimed 20% increase. That's sort of like when people claim that a new exhaust on your car will increase your ouput by 15-20HP. It just doesn't although somewhere, sometime, it has.

It doesn't hurt the bud so I wouldn't suggest not using it, but I just wouldn't expect it to be "just the miracle I was looking for".

sure, 20% more gain in buds is bull as the exhaust claim is but i drives a bit the bud production if feed in flower, i did it to all but on in my last grow and this poor one ended up with about 10% less then the rest measured by its volume, i missed to put it up on a scale to control tis further:-?

and to hydro, the thing mainly works over increased soil activity in terms of useful micro-organism get extra feed and increase the the nutes output to your babies roots, since those organism are missing in rockwool their is no much sense of trying to feed em;)

well this is off topic but most people how go out and buy an exhaust for there car don buy the right one if you do some research with the right headers and exhaust pips and muffler you can get about 5 hp for the header and about 8 hp with the rest well it not 15to20 but its still more horse power well that what i got off my 69 olds442 with flowmasters the better the air flow but just enough back pressure:hump: but back the the subject im going to flush with molassis for my finl flush i hat just useing water becuace the last week is so importint to the plant wy take its food awy

instead of molasses try dissolving 1 teaspoon per gallon of reservoir of organic evaporated cane juice, or even light brown sugar, into a quart of hot water, cool before introducing to the reservoir

wonder how well molasses injection would work in hydroponically/aeroponically grown weed if it was injected at low doses with a needle?

If you only got 5 horsepower from headers, but got 8 horspower from the rest, you did something wrong. Should have been the other way around easily. The stock manifolds/headers on cars are SO restrictive that generally changing the muffler/pipes doesn't affect much. I was primarily referring to poeple that get sold a Cat-Back exhaust and expect miracles.

Back on the subject,
I always flush with just plain ol' water. I know that people have this theory that "it's the last week, it's so critical, I don't want to flush with plain ol' water". If you have been feeding your plants properly and don't already have a ton of deficiencies then the plant has enough food stored to last longer than a week. That's what you are trying to get rid of. All those stored nutrients. Ideally your plant should be fuckin' dead lookin' when you cut it down. The bottom should have nothing but yellow leaves and all the leaves should be fadin' away with the tips curling a bit. Not drastic, but you don't want to treat the plant like it's still growin'. You're going to smoke all the nutrients.

A week seems to be the minimum amount of time to flush. Anything less is uncivilized.

In hydro systems use 1 tsp mollasses for every gallon used. Put one gallon of water on the stove and bring to boil. Mix 1tsp of mollasses for every gallon used in your resaviour. DO NOT DO THIS TO EVERY GALLON. Put it all in one boiling gallon untill it disolves. Let it cool and add it to your solution.
