suggestions for closet setup - Help tapping into ac duct

I am setting up a 6' x 42" closet. I have a 600w LED;
USPS site says seeds are out for delivery:clap:. Autogrow fems. candy kush, diesel berry and 1 delicious La Musa Herbies tossed in for free;
10 ea. 5 gal fabric grow bags are on the road also. I plan on 5 plants on first round;
organic soil & perlite - ~50/50 mix;
Dyna-gro grow & bloom nutrients.

I live in a mobile home. duct work for the ac runs up from floor to ceiling on the other side of a wall in the closet. It would be ideal to splice into the duct for a vent. duct is the round grey flex duct, i am guessing 16 or 18". Anybody know if i can tap into the duct without destroying the integrity of the duct. Do they make something for this? I would think something about 4" or 6" would be fine.???

The walls have a white wallpaper that seems to reflect good. I was thinking that there would not be much of a gain to put up mylar? Thoughts?

Suggestions for additives for the soil? Going to use organic soil and perlite, so it is pretty plain soil as far as nutrients go. I don't want to buy a bunch of exotic stuff like bat guano, cause i have almost exhausted the funds allocated for the start up.

Once i get comfy with my green thumb, I am going to set up a whole bedroom and use the closet for a nursery.

TIA:eyesmoke:

When you say "tap into a duct", what you really mean is cut the duct line, and put a T fitting on that line so you can push into, or pull out of that line. Also don't buy auto or feminized seeds again, that is all.

Yes, i want to add a small duct into the main one. The duct does not seem to be that great of quality. It has thin outer covering that probably is not more that one mil. has the wire wound inside. I don't think i want a tee, as that would involve cutting it in halve. The duct is in a "cavity" that is only slightly bigger that the duct, I cut through the drywall to access it, if i cut it to much it may fall. I was thinking cutting a horizontal slit large enough to insert some type of flanged fitting. It's the flanged fitting thing that I was wondering about. Is there such a thing.
I bought autoflower because i wanted a quick turn around and the space is not that large. What is wrong with feminized seeds?

I now reread your post and realize what I should of said. You should not be cutting into your ducting in a mobile home, and that wire is most likely running to the A/C's controller. There are so many windows and vents on the floor of mobile homes, why would you destroy the integrity of the A/C system? You are growing in a closet, why not just cut a hole in the closet door and vent out into the room? Also feminized seeds suck for producing seed, are weak genetics, and from my research become stressed more easily. On top of this the size of your grow space is irrelevant. You can use regular seeds, grow them small, 12/12 them small, and produce more seed to run. Plus being able to keep a tiny mother and run clones off of it, allowing you to increase your growing ability with one strain. Autos are weak genetics as well, another novelty and lazy breeding just like feminized seeds.

woohoo... I think i found a solution for the duct, from home depot no less. Master Flow 4 in. Starting Collar Take Off - Snap Together. http://www.homedepot.com/p/Master-Flow-4-in-Starting-Collar-Take-Off-Snap-Together-SCF4/100396965#.UlYpFFAWJpZ
I think i can splice this in and seperate the wound wire enough so that I don't have to cut it.

Any comments on the mylar or soil nutes from anyone?
I hope you realize that when the HVAC technician installed all the ducting into your mobile home it was under certain specifications. Mylar is a waste of money, if you're growing in soil you should be growing organically. You've already cut into the drywall and cut into the ducting, and now you're going to be running soil in a closet? Ugh.
