Those cups are amazing!!!!!!!!!!! pretty good reason to move to a hydro set up huh?

Please, dont give up on any of the AI yet! My wispy one ended up yielding 8 bone dry (for rick simpson oil) and the other one that looked less than stellar did 6 (no huge colas just lots of nice medium nugs.) The smoke from both is amazing - almost dangerous. Unfortunately, I didnt get a clone from either, but they each had a branch hermy (never found any male flowers though) and gave me a couple seeds.

As far as cloning - I suck at it and bought a daisy cloner - looks like I'll have 100% and it doesnt distract me like the other methods did. I bought the 12 site and put 3 cuts in most and 2 in the others. It looks like every one of them will make it.
I won't give up....just disappointed. I have 1 good pheno.....I will reveg her when it is all said and done. I can tell it has huge potential....it is already sticky and smelly.....The 1 I will reveg should do ok in SOG as it is stockier and has tight node spacing compared to the others.

p.s. - the wispy ai was the easiest to trim - just run your pinched fingers down each stem!
I will get some good photos of all 3 now that there is room in there.....will be tomorrow.

lookin good ship! the ai is a sucky grow but bangin bud so at least it wont be a total waste:bigjoint: im bout to cut my trainwreck down next weekand i snipped myself a preview (i was outta bud and my billion dollar check hasnt cashed yet lol) just cut a bottom branch wit enough for a fatty, trimmed and threw it in the micro maaaaaaaan me and my wife were cookin:eyesmoke::eyesmoke:! i couldnt believe it! the wreck taste was faint but the hi was not! i think your in for a treat my friend :bigjoint:
The wreck I have going looks great....both are the same pheno with same development....consistant. I cannot wait.....I have about 30 or so clones waiting in the wings.....about half from each so I hope 1 is a winner. Can't wait to see yours in their finished glory :bigjoint:

Well, this seems like such a fitting way to start to wind this thread up in preparation for the next grow....and continuation of what is in currently in the room. For those who have followed from the beginning I was held up due to bad bulbs followed by bad customer service taking care of said bulbs......all in all it cost me 3 weeks delay and 70 some odd days of frustration......capped off with....wait....wait.....wait....here it comes.....said bulbs took a dive....one of them anyway. The bulb lasted a whopping 852 hours.....this was a sunmaster bulb, not some cheap junk. Anyway.....here is the score with a certain supplier since May of 2008 (bulbs only): :cuss:

  • 600w "house brand"- 5 (total hours: 4110 hours)
  • 600w Sunmaster 2 (total hours: 1243 hours)
  • 600w Eye Hortilux 2 (total hours: 1479 hours)
  • 400w Eye Hortilux 1 (total hours: 62 hours still works)
This might be acceptable if I was running a huge op but I am not.....most of last year I ran with 1 600w.....at most during that time frame 2.
Now since it is all bulbs and brands that I have had bad luck with I decided to call.....again......and find out wtf they do to their stock while it is in their hands. Turns out their warehouse is not climate controlled (northern climate) and the bulbs (depending on age) are subject to wide temperature ranges. Absolute crap.....yes they replace the bulbs free of charge but cost of shipping them back with tracking and insurance as well as the overall PITA that it is. Anyway....since my "spares" still have not been sent back to me I said F it and drove to the hydro store. More expensive but I can walk in if I have a problem.....I am done ordering most everything online.
Introducing the new bulbs.....bought 2 and ordered 4 more (makes it close to online price).

In the previous post I mentioned I had a very small amount of rot that was taking place....I attributed it to the room being cramped......well after thinking long and hard about what I would do differently and what could have been avoided I realized where it was coming from. The cups became so top heavy that they would tip.....a few tipped and the buds hit the tray causing bruising....leading to the rot. Anyway, last night I harvested another 6....leaving me with 3 left in the room. I am going to leave the additional 3 in the room for at least another 10 days.....just because.

I apologize ahead of time for the lack of photos.....camera (1 week back from being repaired) died again.....tomorrow I will have to break down and buy a new one so I can provide proper photos of at least the dried product. 6 Harvested last night were at 70 days of flower.

Trimmed, before being removed from stem

Annoying guy.....would not leave the bud alone. Got to the point where he couldn't be shoed away.....you could almost pet him. Anyway, his name was.....key word was.....Frankie. The end of Frankie's life could only be described as sticky, pleasant and then unfortunately over......death by kitty.

Wet weight total as of now:

  • 3.1 oz
  • 4.2 oz
  • 4.6 oz
  • 4.3 oz
  • 3.6 oz
  • 5.1 oz
  • 5.4 oz
  • 4.3 oz
  • 3.6 oz
  • 3.8 oz
  • 5.1 oz
  • 4.0 oz
Again, wet weight....most all stem removed and trimmed tight.....the scale is a postal scale and measures in 1/10ths of oz. I will give a total dry weight when I have it and update the wet total when the others are pulled.

Again, sorry for the lack of photos.....I will get a new camera tomorrow so I can at least provide some dry bud porn.......enjoy your weekend :bigjoint:

Well, I said bag it and harvested the final 3 cups......71 days R.I.P. bongsmilie
Since that is the last of the cups to come out I thought I would give a rundown on what I struggled with, what worked and what didn't.....it will come in the next day or two....I am beat. Wife reminded me we had another digital, crappy photos but photos none the same:

Some photos:

Here is the breakdown on the final wet weight numbers for the cups:

  • 3.1 oz
  • 4.2 oz
  • 4.6 oz
  • 4.3 oz
  • 3.6 oz
  • 5.1 oz
  • 5.4 oz
  • 4.3 oz
  • 3.6 oz
  • 3.8 oz
  • 5.1 oz
  • 4.0 oz
  • 5.0 oz
  • 3.2 oz
  • 3.9 oz
For a total of 63.2 wet weight ounces.....my guess is it will come in at or around 10-12 ounces when dried and cured. Like I mentioned before I will really give a good rundown of everything over the coming days....what I can say without looking at any notes is the topped plants had much more weight to them.

The room:

It will get emptied, reconfigured a bit and scrubbed out tomorrow....one of the reasons I chopped tonight. I will be pretty busy this coming week so I had to push some of the cleaning and what not up a few days.

A.I.

The one in the foreground is the keeper....far left back is the sativa heavy whispy freakish thing and back right is a leggy looking thing......my family of mutants.......It's ok.....I decided I will punish them for being the freaks that they are and turn them in to something....dont know what yet.

and to end on a bright note.....a shot of the trainwreck 18 days in to flower.....

Sneak preview:

Here is what I will be running next.....5 of these tubs. 1 in veg area as a transitional tub.....so I can ramp up nutes quicker when they hit the flower room and 4 in the flower room. 3 in the flower room will run off 1 rez with the last tub on its on so I can flush. Each tub holds 20 5 1/4 inch squares tight.......so far so good. I took photos throughout the build and will construct a page dedicated to the new set up and veg area.....will happen in the next week or two.

Off to smoke and pass out.....good night all and have a good weekend bongsmilie:eyesmoke:
