Sun Pulse 3K vs HPS ????

I hear claims that a Sun Pulse 3K MH is supposed to out-yield an HPS of the same wattage?? Anyone put this to the test? It's hard for me to accept an MH beating a HPS in bud production. I know what the company says about "useful spectrum", but unless some unbiased parties have witnessed this I'd have to assume it's just marketing. Anyone actually compared?

I just swooped a free Sun Pulse .....My Hydro Store Guy Gave It to me ..I Installed it in my 400w Digi ballast.... But I Have the same exact Question As you ...I'm Used to seeing that orange light, and being comforted by that fact that when it's that color Big Buds Happen ...This light has Much Of the same spectrum as the HPS But lots more of the left side of the spectrum that HPS leaves out ...I am also wondering If anyone has used these with any success Any info would be appreciated

Guess it's up to us Bauks? Wish I had the space for every side by side test I'd like to do. I haven't yet picked up a SunPulse yet but likely eventually will. If you do a round under yours do post back and let us all know how it goes. I just put a Lumatek "high par" HPS in my digi, so maybe after a few rounds I'll try the SunPulse to compare.

Are these the split bulbs? Like the 1000w has a 600w HPS and 400w MH

Nope, SunPulse only makes MH's, but they come in various spectrums, 3k, 4k, 6.4k, etc, and they claim the 3k to be better than an HPS for flowering.
