Sun Pulse the only 3k bulb available.

I'm starting this thread to promote the Sun Pulse bulb and the difference it has over any other bulb. The Sun Pulse bulb is the only 3000k bulb available and after comparing the specs of other bulbs like Eye Hortilux and Ushio which are 2100k HPS. I'm just curious how many people are losing yield for not paying attention to what bulbs they run especially when growing cannabis. Giver me your opinions on this one.

Reply to Jojodancer10 yes exchange it for the Sun Pulse it's the bulb to buy, and when the selection is rated by Kelvins it has always been 3000K that is best for cannabis flowering. Now all other bulbs list at 2100K which is HPS. But also Sun Pulse has always been the first bulb rated for electronic ballast and all other bulbs would burn out or go dim way before there rated life expectancy. Also here is the email I received from Sun Pulse just to clarify why they have always been better and the others have always been the others.

The Kelvin scale is a measurement for the human eye, like the lumen. We use it as a marketing reference so customers know which lamp to buy. HPS lamps have no UV. SunPulse lamps have UVA, B and part of C. HPS light is the worst light ever made for plants and is only 19-22% of the natural Sun.The 3k is popular for flowering and HPS replacement. I know you'll see the differences right away.Let me know if you have any other questions.Best,DanSunPulse

At the moment, I am experimenting with running a 600w (dimmed to 450w) 10,000k MH pulse start Plantmax bulb (none bluer) for the entire flowering cycle. Preliminary results indicate that the spectrum is of little importance in comparison to the raw lumen horsepower, so to speak. Test isn't over, I'll update my journal with the results when it is.

these bulbs cause huge stretch.

1000w Grolux Dual Spectrum Bulbs are the best bulbs you will ever get. ( expensive at over £40 but well worth it)
plants grow short in height and very very stocky with massive buds.
put a 600w metal halide on the plants for last 4 days get crazy frosting too.
your just copying the season but speeding it up.

i've been running sun pulse bulbs strictly for like my last 3 or so grows now.. i use the 6k's for veg, and then the 3's for flowering... i just bought one of the 10's for the last two weeks of flowering, but haven't tried them yet..

i dig them, lots of frost, work great in my digital ballast, unlike eye blues that blew in about a month.. :(

there have been so many people with problems, short life spans, and hydro stores have a much larger ratio of sunpulse bulbs returned compared to ushio or hortilux.

OK let me make sure I understand this b4 I go to the store and see buddy. I'm in week 3 so I'm in good standing. I need a sunpulse GPS 1000Watt 3000k for flowering and a 1000Watt 10k for the last two weeks Wright?

i can only speak from experience, but i've been running the same 2 sunpulse bulbs for about 3 or so grows now, the 3k for flower, and the 6k for veg, never a problem..
i was using the eye hortilux blues, but one blew in my digital ballast after about a month of use.. yah, i was pissed, $125 down the drain... :(
