Sun Systems XXXL Magnum vs Cooltube

a friend just bought these hoods and they are gigantic. i like what i'm seeing. however they are pricey. He's got new cuttings under them and i plan to harvest in a couple weeks so being the impatient bastard that i am i'm not going wait. anyway yeah....they look like they have excellent light coverage but is is worth the cost?

Specifically, how due the 8" cooltubes stack up to the 8" XXXL's better known as "ochos"???

i run two 600wttrs in cool tubes and i think the tube robs me of light and lumens... i would love to trade or buy those xxxl's man there wide enugh and they dont rob you of the most important part of yield and thats good light...

any air cooled reflector is better than a cool tube... they are much bigger, thats the only downside... there is a smaller version that the XXL... i use the regular XL size with 6" duct, and it works great with 1Ks in them...

i definitely think cool tubes rob you of light... but the tube is the cheapest way to cool the bulbs...
