sunpulse bulbs..my view so far.

ok so my current grow is a 4 plant vertical grow using bubbleponics as the method.

each plant has a 120l tub, yes that is a hell of alot but they are only about 1/3 full for now, and they are getting about 400l of air per minute each.

any way i'm using the sunpulse veg lamp for veg because i dont want them to stretch much during early veg, for flowering i will be using dual stacked 600w hps, the sunpulse is also 600w.

now comparing a sunpulse lamp to previous hps lamps i've used, they dont even come close in terms of lumen output, sure they claim to have more usable light but honestly they are about half the power in terms of lumen output, at about 50cm of distance from the light, the plants are only getting about 10-20,000 lux, now unless my lux meter is broken which im sure it's not, thats probably a 1/2-1/4 of what a hps bulb would produce at that distance..well roughly any way

i plan on veging them for 6 weeks so i shall see how they turn out.

now this is my first vertical grow, and first bubbleponics aswell as first 6 week veg grow, i normally go 3-4 weeks veg, with dual 600s stacked rather close to the plants (i'll be using a 25cm 200 watt centri fan duct reduced down to 150mm to get max air flow through the tubes)

using the full G&H range, distilled water PHd to 5.8

room will have decent amount of oxygen but i dont plan on using any co2, room temps will be kept rather coolish too..

now based on all that, is wishing for 3-4 pounds too big of a wish?

i'm not 100% sure on the strain, got the clones from a friend to try rather than going with lemon skunk this time, reason being he had 4 under a 1000w hps and got 40 ounce roughly dry, so its a high yielding strain.

cheers.

lumens is a measure of how bright a bulb is to the human eye.

PAR is a tottaly different thing. i just got some of the sunpulse bulbs too i dunno how great they are yet but i do know that lumens may not be the best measurement for determining the best bulb
