Safety concerns aside lol what's your next move?
Well, I have 10 led bulbs that I removed the diffusers from, I'm going to space them on an array and put the plants under them when they are ready. I also put some more seeds to germinate today since the ones I have aren't doing much.

Sounds like a plan man keep us posted.

Idk if it'll help you but I've read that a lot of people ( myself included )like to use like 50w per sq foot as a reference... I say like 50w bc I've read anywhere between 30w-100w per sq foot. But I usually go with 50

The bulbs I have are 60w equivalent, the array I'm planning to use is 3x3 and I'm using 10 bulbs. Each one has 9 diodes, IIRC. So it should be enough light. I'm planning a custom COB array as well, so I may end up with a 2 light rotation.

To anyone watching the thread, a friend of mine gave me a ballast and fixture for an HID light, but I'm not sure what lamp to use. I'll post some pics later, but all the ballast says is that it's 600v 13A, any suggestions as to what type of bulb this will drive?

perhaps you mean 600w, which would make it a 600watt ballast. post pics!

^^Yeah, post some pics and we can go from there. A 600w will get you going nicely. You could possibly use 2 differnt bulbs. One for veg and a different one for flower.

Like to see shoestring grows, but first thing, get rid of the incandescent bulb. Plants just don't grow right under incandescent or quarts halite. This is the problem in your earlier pic. These bulbs cause extreme stretch even in seedling stage. Florescent bulbs kept tight will give you much better results. Swapping out the Incan for a single 23w (5000k or higher) bulb will make a world of difference.

Post a pic bro.. Can't be a 600, 13A sounds kinda odd.

look up the brand "luxcore" and try and find your ballast so you can get the specs. 600V/13A is just the rating of the output cord nothing more.
