Super Hempy 100% Perlite LED grow.

With my last (Chinese LED) grow coming to a finish its time for me to start my new grow.
Have just finished ordering parts and my clones are getting to the size where they want to be moved.

So here is my plan.
Using 100% perlite in a hempy setup with a automated drip feeder.
Since pictures are worth 1000 words here is a crude paint sketch up.

I have a humpy bucket sitting ontop of a air tight reservoir. Instead of the hempy bucket draining out on to the ground it has a tube with a 1 way check valve feeding into the reservoir.

A grommet will be used on the hempy bucket so flushing is easily done.
Reservoir will be black to stop light.

A air pump will be used to with another 1 way check valve in its line. A air stone may improve growth by aerating the feed, But I wont be using one since it seems likely to increase the risk of failure on the air pump.

A clear tube will be connected to the bottom of the reservoir to be used as a sight level as well as the tube that transports feed back to the top of the pot.
The tube will be coiled around with small holes in it on the top of the pots medium and its end sealed off.
Will be connected to reservoir with grommet so it can be removed for flushing of reservoir.

Time for the pump to run still need to be worked out.
But basically how the system will work is pump will run for X amount of mins each few hours. It will build pressure up in the reservoir giving the feed only 1 way to exit

Lighting will be using Cree 3070 Cobs.

Will be putting together once parts start to show up over the new week or 2.
Feel free to comment.

Well, looks like it could work. I dunno man. I use hempy buckets and Lucas formula. Mix and feed like every other day. Will keep your idea in mind in case I ever have to leave town for a couple of days. Would like to see it when your done building.

Good luck.

Made a proto-type up during my lunch break today and came across a small problem with check valve retuning to the pot.
Once the pot has a high level of nutes the weight of that over comes the check valve and air pumps pressure causing air pressure to rapidly discharge into the pot.

Im unsure if they will negitivly or postivaly effect the plant but dont want to risk it so have a few different things I can try out to stop it happening.
Will take pictures when iv got it working 100%.
