hello I know everyone uses roots organic soil for there Super soil, but I am done wasting time(months) and hunderds of dollors on junk ass soil. so I need to use Fox farm ocean forest and Happy frog potting soils (i have used them before with good results. )

should i do a 50/50 mix of ffof and happy frog?

I see Sub says to use Ocean forest mixed with Light warrior. but light warrior is $27 abag and i got to keep it cheap
I already got ripped off twice on roots organic 8 bags each time, so 16 bags at $25 abag, i made super soil with, JUNK, Atleast i got some exspensive Weed killer now... LOL

so I want to goback to ocean forest and happy frog, but I dont see anybody else useing these two soils. what should i do

you're not missing much. Roots is garbage and overrated. You don't need light warrior either. It's cheaper to mix 2/3 cu ft of plain shredded coco coir(approx 2 cubes) per 2 cu ft of happy frog OR 1.5 cu ft bag of ocean forest to cut it.

I use Gardener & Bloome Eden Valley Blend, it's made by Kellog out of NorCal. Great stuff!

i bought 3 bags happy frog (2 cu/ft each) and 2 bags of ocean forest (1.5 cu/ft) and a 11 pound block of genaral hydro coco coir. than i will add some promix Bx to take up the diferants.

Omg the happy frog smells like a forest in the morning, So much better than the cat piss smell of the roots organic sitting next to it.
Last year i used happy frog and ocean forest in my super soil, with AMAZING RESULTS, so than i tryed it with The Recamened roots organic, because if useing the wrong dirt gave me 6-8 zips per plant, useing the recomended roots organic should out do that... right?.... WRONG now i get 1/2 oz per plant and it anit Dank like before.

Ready to grow some HIGH grade Tomatos now....

Yes you can! Break it up some more and use more perlite if you're gonna use some compost and not used to heavily watered pots. Why not mix 50/50 forest/peat moss ewc? I think it should be ok. I would add more lime too because happy frog/of has alot of peat as it is and you would adding mor. That's the beauty of organics, nothing has to be perfect.

dont waste ur $$ on anything but pure castings. under a microscope alaskan humus and peat are almost identical.

i bought black gold, it is looses enought i could grow a plant right in it with no perlite. I can also get Wiggle worms , If i recall correctly wiggle worm is alittle more castings but still cut

i was guilty of some misinformation regarding wiggleworm last year. My boy T-ray set me straight though! under a scope my tea seemed more diverse when using a different ewc than wiggle. but that doesnt mean they arent 100% in fact Roots gets some of their blend from wiggle. Plus they are the most affordable castings that can be bought by the pallet from the hydro stores. i bought 5 Palettes of wiggle this year. black gold is my favorite potting soil. 10 Palettes this year!

edit: remeber black gold organic contains only perlite humus ewc and compost so its pretty light

The Happy frog soil is kinda muddy/thick/heavy. so I want to cut it with PERLITE
Should i use the biggest perlite i can get, or will the smaller stuff work, and how much should i use, I know in organics too much perlite is not good.

I am feeling kinda werey of Organics right now, first grow with happy frog/ocean forest super soil, with added teas got me decent yeaild, and super good quaility, second with ROOTS organic,,, FAIL, third with roots super soil, Failing, hoping for 1/2 oz aplant vegeged for 3 months. let me rephrase that I AM PRAYING TO GET 1/2 per plant. 4 plants under 1000 watts of light.

I am the only person I know that grows Organicly, and i am the only person i know that is currently FAILING at growing...... every one else uses Pro-mix and Bottled nutes and get 7-9 oz per plant with less than 2 months veg... I have not smoked anything I have grown since MAY.... and the up coming plants look like shit... I lost all comfidents in my Abillity to grow my own Meds :( I am going to give it one more shot. with this Happy frog and ocean forest mix, than i will feed teas, to make sure they produce. I spent over $1000 on dirt, power bill, bottled water, light bulbs, and i dont Have anything to show for it. I see everyone else has great results from super soil, but it dont even seem real to me anymore,

honestly dude, I dont even know what a 1/2 oz on a 3 month vegged plant would look like, you can grow more than that in just straight Roots soil, no nutes.

Something is very wrong. you might be over thinking/doing something, back off and do a soil only run, use some 10 gal containers. I bet you get decent results just from jus that.
