Super sweet orange varieties in general and Is Tangies high trash?

Legit AE Cali-O is amazing smell but the high really is weak. I was not amazed and quite amused when 20+ fems from Cali-O x Forum were all bitched about. The responses were hilarious. It's pretty close to hemp. Not even cookies could dominate the high.

So how is tangie high?

Does it have the super sweet vanilla orange on steroids smell or any solid pure sweet orange?

And most importantly of all what super sweet orange terps have you had that packed a punch? I have recently become a fan of sunset sherbert. Had some extracts that just smoked beautifully and the high was there. I am very curious as so what else is out there though.

One line I am really looking forward to dropping again and hitting the mark is the BOO (bag of oranges) from Useful. I don't see anyone bitching about the high anywhere...I really like the genetic mix as well. Cali-o doesn't breed well and it has some bad traits (bud rot). I would like to find some alternatives with better highs.

I’ve grown a tangie clone from southern humboldt and the high was almost non existent. Out of tangimal cookies, mimosa, orange ade, and I’m sure others hybrids I’ve tried, mimosa was probably the strongest, but still pretty weak. They all had good orange flavor. Haven’t tried Tropicana cookies, but it’s supposed to have strong orange flavor too.
Some people describe zktillez as an orange flavor but it’s more complex than that.
Strongest I’ve tried was an unnamed batch over 10 years ago that smelled like straight orange juice, it put me to sleep every time.

My local dispensary had some zkittlez that I'm pretty sure was a relabeled tangie or cross of it and the high was non-existent. I've never had authentic Zkittlez but heard it is more like a grape skittle. The CSI Zkittlez I recently flowered were not reminiscent of Tangie at all, maybe some hints of citrus zest but a lot different than tangie imo. The flavor is on point though and definitely pack more punch than the bs my dispo was selling.

I also just harvested 707's Lemon Dawg (lemon tree x chem4bx3) and it has a strong tangy citrus flavor and solid buzz.

Tropicanna Cookies f2's was my most recent acquisition. Don't know if I'll keep those in the vault or pop em in a few months.

Crockett Family Farms take on Tangie is fantastic in my experience with it. High from it is potent. The flavors can be be earthy (orange rind), sweet citrus and even a funky sweat citrus in some expressions Ive seen.

Tangerine power hit pretty good but not the greatest. Plus it had orange creamsicle type flavor. Smelled fantastic like tropical punch so I was disappointed when it tasted like orange creamsicle, I hate those things.

I crossed a tangerine power male to my cut of lvtk and found a kick ass orange pheno, straight orange fruit no creamy crap. It was quite potent too. I ran the clone a couple times but let it go because I'm planning on running the last 20 or so of those beans to find good males and females for f2.

So the orange terps can hit but you'll need to find something like an og or chem x orange something to find those hitters.

24 karat. One of my cornerstones in my stable and highly asked for. Potency is up there but can be a bit racy high. She was chosen out of 13 Tangies and 6 24 Kt's. Taste like sweet orange with some orange peel in there. Look for the the spear shaped buds. You can't tell there's any OG in her looks wise but she stomps all the Tangies that she ran against.

I have repeatedly heard throughout the years 24k had amazing smell and taste. I think I will order this with bag of oranges for my next run.

I cant say for certain that what they have now is the same being all there OGs now arent what they use to be. I got mine back in late 2014. It looks very similar to Tropicana Cookies looks wise. Out of the pack it was the only one with spear shaped tops, the rest were bulbous shaped. The 13 Tangies the best one out of them was also spear shaped but had a funky italian spice to the orange that i didnt like and non of them were potent like the 24Kt are.

I have to say the orange blast I got was also spear shaped buds.

Guess I'll keep an eye on that trend when I pop more orange terp beans.

The agent orange I run has never disappointed me on all levels.

Never grown my own Tangie, but a friend gave me a bag of his that he really liked. I don't remember the high being anything noteworthy and I hated the taste. It was like smoking citrus-y perfume.

In all my years of growing weed I have come across ONE single plant with the orange smell that was good. I have a very hard time understanding why so many people talk about the Tangies and Orange strains, they suck IMO.

I have been chasing a sweet orange tangerine strain with a touch of cream I bought out in the middle of the Ocala National Forest in Florida back around 01. Have never had anything like it other than the real cali-o clone and cali o leaning phenos that seem to show up 1 out of 20 females in cali-o crosses. The rest of the phenos are always absolute trash even if they have an extremely powerful skunk smell.

There is something out there and if there isn't I will just make it.

Thats how i feel about purple buds. I cant stand them, always weak and make me tired. I have GG4, chem D, wedding cake, ect but 24kt is asked for more then them(my gg4 x cake is most asked for). All the TGA Agent Oranges ive tried and tangerine from i think was Barney or Sin City were terrible also. Not sure why i bought 24kt, i think i was hoping more for a citrus OG but what i ended up with is better and more unique. The rosin she makes is incredible flavored and plant wise ive hit 9oz in 5 gallon with her few times so she yields great to.

Not to go off track too much here but I have recently wanted to stock up on gg4 crosses. What did your gg4 cake smell and taste like? I have a gg4 x cookies and cream I have been eyeing.

I did some of Crockett's also. Great high, and made some very tasty hash.

It took more of the glue structure but has a slight vanilla to her finish product. Her high is more fun then gg4 in a uplifting but not racy way. People love her and think shes better then gg4. Ive had gg4 since end 2013 from JW. I also have gg4 x purple punch, she also took the glue structure but has a berry flavor to her, shes not as potent as other glues though. Ive also ran S1s way back in 2015 or so. There was a few that tasted like tootsie rolls, they were the best out of the S1s and there was alot of differnet phenos in them.

Useful's orange cookies x chocolate diesel

My Agent Orange x Goji OG tastes/smells just like a blood orange mixed with earth. It's unfortunate Respect Genetics doesn't sell their seeds.

This was my orange peel pheno from my oran jones cross. Plenty of frost with those spear shape buds. Buds were a little loose or fluffy but I think more so because summertime heat last year.
