Superponic Pump Timing

Hi,
I have a superponic 16 system and even though the instructions are quite thorough they neglect to mention how often and how long water pumps are supposed to run.

Thanks

Never used that setup but I have grown in flood and drain and DWC/RDWC. Here is my 2 cents FWIW... I am assuming use of expanded clay pellets in the pots and not rockwool or coco...

I would probably run the top feed for like 2 minutes (just long enough to get the roots in the pot wet) every 4 hours and not at all when the lights are off. The top feed should probably be stopped once the roots are in the water (DWC). You could still use the top feed as a waterfall by relocating the emitters to the sides but not in the pots so they just run back into the reservoir. Any air stones in the reservoir (not sure if there are any) should be eliminated as they cause the pH to lower, a waterfall effect will provide aeration.

The timer they sent with the system is analog and the lowest increment is 15 minutes. Is 15 min on ok and if I turn off my air stones my tea will die and I will get slime. Have to use tea or else I get slime no matter what. If I turn air pumps off Will my aerated water requirement change the timing of the top feed pump?

Another observation is that if I don’t have the netpot submerged in water I won’t get any longer roots or root growth will be very slow.

Would 15 on 15 off or 30 off work. My air pump is 200 watts be cool to turn that off.
