superthrive for rooting clones under cfl in rockwool blueberry haze

ok so i have one 23 watt cfl 100w equivalent and a very nice blueberry haze cutting i put in rockwool that was first soaked in water and then about 6 hours after i added some superthrive water to it will it root this way i dont have rooting gel or powder i heard this stuff was the best for rooting clones anyone know for sure????

you can clone in that. If your using a dome to keep in the humidity and hand watering them just replace with fresh soultion daily. Or if your using like a tray filled with water that's being oxygenated by air pumps and stones than you can place right in soultion and replace with more as needed.

nah i dont have all that stuff i just took the top of a big jar of pretzels that was plastic poked some nice holes in it for drainage like a little screen put it about an inch in the air so it can drip as needed and the cube or rockwool on top of it i cut a two liters bottom off and put the cap with a little hole cut in it for a little air on it and ivebeen misting the leaves with some superthrive water and dripping a little bit of superthrive water on the cube daily im planning on moving it straight to the flowering stage on a 12/12 lighting schedule but i onlye have one 2700k cfl 23w and if i have to i can set up another but those are the only kind of lights i have and i really want to try cfls so i just found some laying around but ive had this mother for about a year now shes about 5 feet tall moved from a metal halide to hps from time to time but always one or the other so i know the clone is mature enough im just not sure if the lighting and just a rockwool cube can support the buds and the root system even though i would like to have a miniature plant yielding 4 grams would make me happy because i know this strain is killer really fluffy and strong extreme resin covered buds in the past if anyone has any feed back let me know i really want these to turn out as something??

Superthrive is good shit, my buddy uses it not only for cloning but every other watering through the whole life cycle. (1ml per gal) which is alittle under 1/4 tsp.

Just keep the humidity up above 65% and you'll be fine. It'll be harder in the winter or middle of summer because AC and heater can lower humidity in the home to 30%.

If your 'dome' doesn't have vents, lift the dome off 2 or 3 times a day, real quick just so there is fresh air in there, use a jar of water under the dome to add extra humidity.

I think that superthrive is a waste of money. For the $8 you could buy a huge jug of rooting hormone from a garden store and you'll get better results. You could then increase your chances even further by putting a few drops of hydrogen peroxide in the watering solution used. Also, get a heat pad with a variable heat setting, put it on low and put it underneath the grow cube. This will encourage root growth, and is handy for stealth situations where heat is needed at lights out.

I flip a printer box over, put the heating pad on in followed by a piece of plastic as a moisture barrier. I then place the lid of a large storage bin upside down and then my plant tray on top of that. I water with the hormone/few drops of Hydrogen peroxide(per 1Gal) solution and place the storage bin over the plants. I have a 95% success rate with this method. You can maintain almost perfect temps/humidity for rooting clones with this set-up.

if i cant get rooting hormone how the hell do you expect me to get a heating pad and a big jug of rooting hormone im lucky to even have superthrive i cant get all that shit and superthrive is good for foliation spray apparently rooting and watering all during the grow process im pretty sure i cant miz rooting hormone in with my water and foliation spraying for the same effect

Hey man just trying to help. If you cant afford to purchase root hormones you can make your own by soaking the trimmed branches of a willow tree in water for 24hrs and use that. As for the heating pad, if you look around a bit more you can find plans for most anything here on the site.

i can also go to the kitchen grab a sharp knife and kill amotherfucker quit your bitchen i can afford the shit i have a house i can definately afford shit the thing is the only store around me that has good growing shit my kids teacher works his second job there or something cuz every time i go he trys asking my i need to clone stuff and last time i got a some superthrive he asked what it was for and i said tomatoes but thats a shitty ass cover im making so with what i have i hate chemical shit weed its all modified and specail shit people spraying pesticides all over them and harsh chemicals and shit i like organic and natural shit if you dont have something useful to say dont post your replys im looking for helpful tips from people that have nig rigged shit too im doing this for fun im not making some big elaborite 1000w hps 30 plant exaust fans fertilizers big ass grow op im having fun with a plant thinking about cloning if you dont have somethnig useful to contribute then quit posting shit and get back to fucking yourself :finger:

I was gonna say, if you guys would have actually read the thread you would assume that he can't get stuff in his area. He said he has a mh and a hps and a 5 foot 1 year old mother plant.

I'm a little confused though so why do you have a mother plant a mh and a hps but have one clone your trying to grow under a cfl? Is this just an experiment or what? You could always order online too.

thanks pipe dreams + rep for helping keep the peace :peace: :joint: yea its kinda a expirement cuz my friend a really god friend to insists he grows killer buds under cfls and there better and i really wanna try it so i thought ill clone them so there exactly the same and try one under metal halide for veg and then when its time to flower ill chang it to 1000w hps and ill just buy some new cfls and use daylight bulbs for now then the 2700k when its flowering time and ill let you guys know how it goes and hopefully pictures if i can get my camera working

okay that makes sense to be fair you can grow under cfls but HIDs are going to yeild more so I don't really understand it unless your having trouble with heat or electricity or something...anyways good luck

why is it alway new guys that want to flame someone. Grow supplies are simply not avalible is some areas and some of us prefer not to order online. Yeah its nice to have a hydro store or a head shop down the street but for some of us its not possible. If you have nothing to to contribute keep it moving.... You can get a rooting powder at lowes and home depot for a couple bucks. People make cloning out to be some complex thing when it is not. all i use is a SINGLE 23w CFL, jiffy pods, superthrive, and schultz plant food and have 100% of my plants live...... I even take a small budding clone revedge it to get a mini bush....
