Suppercropping?

Ok so I know that suppercropping is pinching the stems and all but is it done on the main stalk or on the branches?

both.. pinching the main branch will send auxins throughout the rest of the plant and encourage side branching and bud sites.. pinching the tops of side branches will do the same thing and send auxins to the main branch and all of the lower growth to increase production
