Butane is one of the cleanest burning natural gases, which is why there are numerous applications in which it is used.

Ligther or no lighter you'll still be getting medicated. There have been studies pertaining to cannabis burning at lower temperatures where various cannabinoids are supposedly more active at these lower temperatures. Whether this is true or not, you can get the same "effects" of low temperatures by using a lighter so that it is further away from the herb, as I believe FDD mentioned.

The #1 reason why people (should) use wick/glass rods is for taste. Personally, I prefer using glass rods for the best taste, as I can notice the taste of the hemp wick a lot in my hits which sometimes overpowers the taste of my bud. Have only tried I-tal wick and yes, I think it kinda sucks; the hits are WAY harsh, more so than when using a lighter I think. I put in a request for the free humbolt wick...hopefully it will be better than I-tal.

though butane is a clean burning fuel, when it is straight up and not being hit with any wind, when you are sucking in butane I don't think anyone can truly guarantee me unless they did gas spectrometry tests to see if any unburned butane was inhaled or not.

unburned butane is bad for you, there is no doubt about this, my argument is that the average stoner inhales a lot more unburned butane than they realize, even if they do use good flame practices.

humboldt wick is better than ital wick by a good degree, but it wont impress you, they put to omuch beeswax on their shit....

I highly recommend you try some beelasso before you totally throw hemp wick under the bus...

when I use ital hemp wick I can barely taste my weed too bro... when I use beelasso I taste it clear as day... yum. should be getting 3 boulders today if I do I'll take macro shots and upload them here.

Poplars its been a lonnnnng time whats good? Fdd2blk is still here!

I use 200' beeline thick gauge, good for hits in the wind, you can also cut a piece then just split it down the middle, spin it in your fingers and you have a regular gauge wick.

sup bro, nah, here is the link on amazon where i got, it is a large 15.5ft, i didnt want to go all out before trying it out... im really happy with it and so is my dad and my bro! my dad uses it on his cigarettes and says it really does make a big difference with the taste. I was looking at getting a bee line wick but thanks for saving me on that bro, i was about to order and i remembered your thread... im getting the big 250ft roll of ital wick for 22 bucks this time so i can share more of it with my dad and bro

http://www.amazon.com/I-Tal-Hemp-Wick-Spool-Organic/dp/B004OFJ5VW/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1315509241&sr=8-3

my bad it just seemed like it when you said it's not grey... you saying they give out different qualities? like the big rolls are higher quality than the smaller packs?

If its not.on amazon and prime, i dont order em.
your loss man.

you know probably the ONLY reason beelasso isn't on amazon or that other site may be because their logo is a bee with chink-eyes like he's stoned? just sayin, maybe you shouldn't discriminate if something isn't globalized.

nah, i dont think it is my loss. I will give it a try if i can find it on amazon, even if it aint prime just to give it a shot... if its as good as you say it is, then i will keep with bee lasso, till then, i got 250ft to go of I tal wick...

thanks for the thread though

I posted some pics of the beelasso a few posts up if that's what you're asking.

and I think you would definitely notice the difference going from a thick guage to a thin guage... I don't see why people need thick guage honestly, thin guage lights huge bongs just fine, and if you need it thicker just double it up and twist it together ya know . . .

I agree but I backpack and need a wick that can stand up to a strong wind... yea i read the thread and saw the posts, seriously ill pick some up.

I've tried ital and wasn't much of a fan, it doesn't stay lit in windy situations.

Yes i could just twist two strains together, lol i really never knew of any other wick brands nor did I ever think about a different taste...

your stuff does look like good stuff though, but I bet you would notice less harshness and possibly a lil more flavor from beelasso.

plus it's so cheap there really isn't a point in ordering anything under a 10 dollar roll imo... that's what I did when I first bought the stuff lol.
