my ballast has started to make a lot of noise so looking for a new one has anybody got any advice on these switchable ballast 200w/600w are they any good because i would like to run 600w in winter and 400w in summer
for starters,unplug it, open it up & tighten all screws and/or nuts/bolts. be careful of the capicitor,its a metal box w/ 2 wires -it can store voltage like a battery.
I would hear mrmadcow out and try to service your ballast first...I would buy separate ballasts myself as I have seen the dimmer ballasts returned a lot
