You can switch to 12/12, but yield is much diminished. Hope that helps!

really!? under what lights and how much did ya yield??? i've heard to go 18/6 or 20/4 their entire life...i did 18/6 with my diesel ryders and they turned out phenomenal and i yielded 4 ozs from 4 plants.

He probably has a good reason, limited space and he needs to flower a non autoflowering plant in the same grow area. Maybe security.

Sorry to butt in on your post bud, but i've got a ? 4 you AF ppl.? Im currently on day 33, and my dieselryders are under 4". My ? is i thought by now they are supposed to be taller then that. I mean my gurlz are nice, nice bud growth what not. But the way things are going im looking at, at least two blunts by the gurlz i didnt knock up, the two i did one is 4" tall, has seed pods and growing new bud sites wit white pistels... The other one i knocked up is like 1 1/2" tall, and looks like i sprinkled sugar all over her seed pods, the crazy thing is she stopped growing all together. So any help on this matter would be much appreciated thanx...........

i have been studying the autoflower plants for a year and ive studyed(grown) 5 types ak47x blueberry, ak47 x diesel,diesel x ryder, poison dwarf,auto kush. i gave 1/3rd of the seeds to a friend as a control.1/3 grown outside, and 1/3 inside under cfls. and inside20/4 was the only way to make growing these things almost worthwhile. in one month if they are not atleast 8 inches youll get a 1/8 off that plant dry. yeah im not kidding.my best so far is 21 grams. atleast 50 plants. im giving up on autos because A- low yeild, B- half the seeds dont make it out of the shell because the shells are so hard, and C-they take up to much space for such a low yeild. i suggest growing a non-auto and using low stress training. you get more bud and youll should only have to wait a couple of weeks more. 14 grams or wait three more weeks and get 3-4 oz?

Be nice.... I've got a few posts but I'm new to inside & auto growing so I ask stupid (to some) questions... you never know it all... and better to ask and sound dumb. then not...lose crop... and be dumb.......
you are very wise twisty. the post count has nothing to do with your knowledge of growing.
that question from whulk may have sounded silly at first, maybe he should have added more info in the start as to why he wanted to do this. but it did bring out a couple of informative answers.

I got one. My joint Doctor Lowrider 2 is 2 months old, over 3 feet tall. Showed sex at day 40, now they got a few hairs. That is all, rofl. I got them to flower fast while my others veg. My others it look like are going to be done before they are. For legal reasons I will probably cut them all down.

I gave a heavy dose of N before they sexed. I was an idiot there. That might be it. They apparently loved it. Lol. Check my journal if you like, I appreciate comments.
I hear the yeild sucks if you go 12 and 12. Also I hear yeild depends on the pot size. Go for 5 gallons. I hear a couple of ounces on a 20/4 schedule. More light=bigger buds.

Showed sex at Day 40? Damn I have a Lowryder 2 growing and it looks like it may show sex in the next 2 weeks but 3 feet? What kind f lights are you using?

If I grew auto's again I would go with the 12/12 again from start. they got 2.5ft tall with very stinky buds. had them in hydro. there was no room in the veg room so I just tested the 12/12 method from start and I was satisfied. light was a 600hps.

See I'm using 4 CFL's but you got a really good light system so that could be why you got so much.
