Switching to Flowering

I have been searching around and havent been able to seem to find a solid answer on how to transition your light period between veg and flower. Ex Say I want to start flowering Monday do I just change the timer tonight to 12/12 (come on 30 mins later turn off 6 hours earlier)

basically yes. you just go from 18/6 to 12/12. but you wanna try and keep the same times. for example(i had the lights in 18/6 and i was turing on at 10am and off at 4am, now when i went 12/12 i stayed turning on at 10am and now i turn off at 10pm)

i change my turn on time and my plants look great.. just keep one of the times the same bro
