I had Sylvania Grolux 600w hps. made in Belgium and they still shine bright as ever..
I tought just in case to go and change them to new ones...first I thought that the bulb wasn't tight in the frame and then I was waiting is it going to get brighter..not ! then I checked that its core is way thinner and the ballast is made in China...and dam it felt like a 500 w comparing to the Belgium made 600w.you could look at the lamp without a problem but when you tried to do that with the Belgium made you could not...so much was the difference...took all bulbs back to store and changed the to Philips Green Power 600w ,just noticed that it ain't either produce same lumens as the old Sylvania ..it's claimed the Green Power has more usable lumens...any thoughts on that fokes..?

Well I have zero benefits of talking crap in this matter..the brightness is easily verified ,find a sylvania lamp belgium made it has a thicker core and then a china made it has the thinner core...you can instantly see the difference..do you want to go and experiment with a dimmer bulb and see if you are going to get a equally good yield or do you want to be sure that your bulb is at the max par and lacking nothing...
