T5 vs T5HO

I have been researching a little more on some lights for my veg section and saw the options for the T5 and the T5 High Output - it appears that the High Output is the way to go, but before I pull the trigger on anything, I wanted to see what input you all have. I have 4 shelves to fill, and if the T5HO's are 'good but not worth the extra cost' than I know what to do.

I also have the ability to go with 2 or 4 foot bulbs, are there large differences between the sizes?

A portion of the information I found:

"A 28W T5 produces about the same light output as a 32W T8 and a 54W T5HO produces close to twice the light output of T8 and T12 lamps when these lamps are operated as part of a ballasted lighting system. The nominal light output of a four-foot 54W T5HO lamp is 5,000 lumens, compared to 2,900 lumens for a 28W T5 lamp and 2,850 lumens for a 32W T8."

Thanks in advance everyone!

2 ft difference ;)

I think your calculations of the lumens gives you your answer doesn't it. f54/t5HO is the way to go
