right on so here we go again, 9/30/11 one Master Kush fem seed germinated and in Jiffy Seed Starter Mix with organic perlite, had nice root, planted @ 1/4 inch in the soil which i soaked well before planting. flicked some soil over it, enough to cover it up and placed that sticky type saran wrap over top and placed in veg area.

method for germination included water in shot glass, when seed cracked yesterday i placed it in between wet napkins and placed it in a glad container and moved it to kitchen cabinet. did 2 seeds the same way. today one had a half inch root and the other had nothing. planted one and left the other in the wet napkin, in the glad container, which i wrapped in a dark hand towel and placed in the warmer veg area. the house is a cool 76 so i wanted to give a little warmth to the slow bean.

moved veg area to bathroom, made a "table" which covers the tub completely (cut 1/2 inch plywood to fit) then i moved the shower curtain rod up and over the middle, where i anchored it to the walls. hanging over curtain rod are 2 four way lights with 23-26 watt cfls, one over each vegger, and 2 y-split sockets for a total of 4 23-26 watt cfls over 3rd vegger, have germinated seed in soil under a y-split with 2 26 watt cfls. placed mylar around shower walls. added fan and vented floor a/c up to aim at the plants, it is approx 3 ft away from babies.

the vegger are looking much better, gave them 12-4-5 at half strength last night, they have a lot of new growth, considering what they have been thru i am shocked they are doing so well, i certainly hope they are not male with all the time, effort and money i have laid on them.

pictures next entry, there are a ton of pics of these babies in my journal. i find that people really don't pay any attention to the journals and usually just look at threads, so here i am...PLEASE any and all help is very much appreciated, i do not, in any way shape or form, profess to knwo much at all about growing but i am learning alot, unfortunately the hard way :wall:

peace out, thanks to all of you, and keep the comments and advice coming

sprout number one is about an inch above soil. the seed shell is still on it, this happened to one of the other Master Kush that died. i tried to get it off on the other but was unsuccessful, any advice would be greatly appreciated. i have read the many posts on here addressing such and tried many of them previously but i am afraid to hurt the infant. the second seed is still in the glad container on a heating pad :-( i scuffed it last night so cross your fingers, little SOB better crack as Nirvana said they don't replace them, i don't know about you but i am a poor farmer and i need that seed.

as for the bagseed plants, WOW they look soooo much better  i am glad i didn't listen to jesus of cannabis and pull them!!!!! thank you so much to all my friends here for the advice. i think they will survive :weed: now i just hope they aren't male lol

here are some pics of the much happier little babies and the new bathtub set-up AND mr moose in his croc box...

wwwwwwwow i can't believe how well these babies have recovered, and yes, to all of you out there that are telling me to pull them and start over, well I REALLY can't do that. i do not have the luxury of getting clones or buying seeds over and over again. i will learn everything i can from these and pray they don't go all male on me but if they do i can say i have seen how this beautiful plant can recover from even the worst of fuck ups.

i am pissed that the previously mentioned little black seed has not germinated while it's sister has already grown approx 2 inches. i soaked it, placed in damp napkins, in a glad container on a heating pad, scuffed it yesterday morning and still nothing...any IDEAS???

so while they may not look like some sweet Myakka Gold, they look so much better to me, and it's only been like 3 days. so i will keep them and see what happens.

Hell no don't pull those up. I actually dropped my plant when it was about a week old 3 feet to the ground, you should see it today! At least keep them until they show sex, the experience you're receiving right now is irreplacable and you might as well get it while you can. Growth looks good, keep it up.

thanks some0kid, i thought why in the hell would i pull them?? if nothing else i can learn from them. i will atleast give them until i can determine the sex. they may not produce as much as they could have and it may have set me back some but what the heck, better then pulling what could be perfectly good females.

i had lots of help and advice and i appreciate all of it. i just don't understand why someone would have to tell me that i fucked up and i need to pull them. i know i fucked up but it wasn't really my fault, regardless, it was unfortunate and it is a valuable learning experience :weed:

You have some really nice new growth going on. BRAVO!!! I can't see them all being males, but then, stranger things have happened.

You might try a browning banana peel in a baggie with the stubborn seed (seed wrapped in a damp paper towel). Banana peels emit a good amount of ethylene, and that helps to overcome dormancy.

How's the stubborn one? Any sign yet?
not at all Jack, i thought maybe i saw it crack a bit but it didn't, put it back in mineral water on the heating pad (the banana peal rotted and i didn't want to mold the seed)

i'm gonna put it in dirt tomorrow i guess and see what happens. do you have anymore ideas before i plant it? scuffed, soaked, paper towel, banana peel, heating pad, soaking again :-( i guess i may only get 1 plant out of $50 worth of seeds, shit, i killed 3 and the 5th won't pop

Eh...65 to me is chilly, so...yes lol. I've got the heater on xP. Yeah man. After my first time trying LST I decided I'm never going back. Worth every minute. Sort of wish I had tied down one more time but eh.

the little girl has shed her seed casing but it seems like there is still something from the seed stuck on her and is holding the second set of what will be leaves together, this is the 2nd MK seedling to have it's shell case stick to it. i am wondering if Master Kush seeds do this frequently or is it Nirvana's breeding? 2 out of 4 have lot's of trouble shedding, hmmmm. 100_1302.jpg100_1298.jpg

took the 3 stooges outside and gave them a big drink and some vitamins in the form of superthrive. gave them the 12-4-5 in their drink 6 days ago so i thought maybe some vitamins this time. i think they look very nice, especially considering where they were 7 days ago.

chime in anyone if you can guess indica or sativa? they are obviously different in their looks. winner gets a big old fat virtual joint :bigjoint:

It's a bit early, but they look like at least an Indica dom.

No worries about the seed case sticking to them. Happens a lot. They'll shed it when they get some size.

looking good sunny, i found you~ :joint:

if you're concerned about the seed casings, it helps them come off if you get them a bit wet....

hi jack. ;)
