Sorry people need to vent....

I have a coworker that is bi polar and suffers from severe anxiety, she's always been a blast to work with until I got promoted ( she started a few months before me) Since she found out she's been snappy, questions my training in front of the 2 people we just hired and is just a ticking time bomb. She has exploded about half a dozen times in the past 2 weeks. Being friends I've tried to bite my tongue and not take her "moments" personal, but her insults and attacks have become very personal in the past few days. I decided to involve my boss since i'm at a loss of how to handle the situation and still do my job and train. Today she cried wolf and tried to tell him that i've been out to get her lmfao He is a decent guy and let her say her piece as she cried, screamed and pretty much had a tantrum ( she's almost 40) My boss sent her home, again... so far in 6 months she's taken about a month off for similar situations. The main issue seems to be that she does not always take her meds, when she does she's awesome. Damn it people I need some advice. I want an apology for how she's treated me but I know her type , it wont happen :(
What would u do?? How do I move on and forgive this person??

Forgive her. Obviously she has some issues. Personally, when someone is "cool" conditionally, I try to get away from them. Hopefully she will be gone soon, and replaced with somone who is stable all of the time. The problem with many people on "meds" is they stop taking them when they think they are all good. It's a horrible cycle.

Unfortunately there is not much you can do about how she acts. You can only make sure your boss is fully aware. If then nothing is done to improve the situation you may need to consider taking this up one more level in management.

p.s. I mean would you look at that! Would you just look at it!

As a supervisor I'll say that you have already done what you can. Although it does seem odd that she is able to have outbursts like this so frequently and still has a job? I know that if one of my employees becomes more of a distraction than is productive, it's time to get the HR cog rolling. While I am all for supporting her issues, if she is not treating herself and her work is suffering I would still say there is a bottom line.

I can't recommend this. Many corporate companies disapprove of going out of the "chain of command". In other words you go to your boss with problems, never go to your bosses boss. HR is the next option IMO.

Boy that is a tough situation to be in, make sure you document every little interaction with her to cover your butt, better safe than sorry.

I also question why she has been allowed to behave in such a way over and over, at least send her home without pay, but again my boss ( the owner) is my age, been there 10 months and he's still learning himself. He's really a great person. I work In a very large busy car dealership, 90% men so they do allow people to "express themselves" when upset since we deal with all kinds of situations and people.

Just forgive her and forgive her and forgive her and bear it.
This is the higher way.
Forgiving someone who is not sorry is saved for those who need it, she has tried to hook up with a guy I was dating ( she is married) she also tried to convince me that he was dating another girl at work. I'm thinking ignoring her and letting the higher ups deal with insanity is the best solution. She will dig her own grave, the proof was in my work today, I doubled my call volume and pre booked appointments today alone, since she was not there to disrupt everyone ;) I even had extra time and processed 79 recalls, lol
