Taking Care of Your Glass

so i got a bubbler for xmas, and i was wondering, should i keep it clean? i know it sounds like a stupid question, but my brother hasnt really ever cleaned his and it works good, but since he's the only one i personally know who owns one, im curious. ive used them before, but its just its different from a normal pipe, which i clean that one fairly regularly. idk, any real advice, words of wisdom about keeping this thing working pretty good?

Some people like to build up their pipes/bubblers with resin (mostly for those with glass that changes color).

I sometimes (and I might get flak for this) let the resin build up just in case I'm out and need the buzz for pain or to help me sleep, usually when I know I have a while until harvest. But If my pipes start getting dirty and I have a couple jars of bud.. I'll give them a full alcohol/salt wash and they always come out looking brand new. I like to keep my pieces in a drawer though and dirty pipes can really start to stink up a small place (not in a good way).

I never clean my glass, I just make more.

i have a few different type of pieces, and each of them i treat kinda different, but only from personal preference. my dry bowls i clean every month or so because they are color changing pieces, my bubblers i clean out before they can really build up resin or anything even though they are color changing too, just because i find that whatever your smoking tastes much cleaner and flavorful when its in a clean piece with clean water, same goes for my bongs.

and to clean my pieces i just use the simple salt and rubbing alcohol mix and then rinse my pieces out really well and it works fine every time.... hope that helps.

I clean mine about once a week with IPA. I like the taste of "clean" smoke, then you get a real taste for what you've grown.

If it's all glass, I soak mine in a mixture of Simple Green and water for about a week and then just rinse off with warm water.

Yes, It makes the hits so much better and smoother. And the more resin that builds up in the piece, the harder it is to clean. I clean my Bong every few days just so its always clean.

No but seriously... Clean with isopropyl alcohol, and salt... pour in salt, pour in isopropyl alcohol (91% big bottle at walgreens is less than $3).. cover holes and shake til all the slime is in the alcohol... do that for a few minutes until the alcohol is saturated in tars... then rinse and repeat until its spotless... I do 2 rinses just to be sure.

Leave no residue behind! Any residue may keep that iso smell, no residue = no smells just CLEAN glass..... Don't be bought into fancy cleaning products.. iso and salt can be found at walgreens for very cheap and it works all the time every time.



I change my water every other day, and clean every few weeks.... to keep things sanitary...

I know i should clean them more but i get lazy

I bought a bowl about 4 years ago and havent cleaned it once

it was my daily driver and got ridiculously grimy

only cleaning it ever got was poking the bowl hole out with a pen

Clean weekly, if your using a dirty piece you are sacrificing the flavor of that delicious ganja! (Or wax in my case )

A lot of my friends hardly ever clean there pieces. Ever since I got a really nice Stemless Glass on glass 2 footer I have kept it meticulusly clean. You can take bigger rips when they are clean and it gives you a cleaner buzz. Just give em the highest % of isopropyl alcohol u can find and pour in some salt. Shake Shake Shake then rinse well, makes it as clean as new!!

I clean mine probably once per week. it looks soooo good when its sparkling... stemless inverted showerhead with a 15 arm tree perc..

Pipe I never clean just smoke till its clogged get a new one ,,,,,bubblers and bongs I keep spotless....I probly would clean my pipes but there all head pieces and takes a month or two to clog them and then they sit on display in my smoking room

put alcohol and salt in a zip lock bag and shake shake shake

personally, dirty bubblers in particular nauseate me. god knows what's growing in there with all that moisture and breath (i blow through the downstem to clear it sometimes. stale smoke is so gross). i rinse mine before every session, and give it a thorough alcohol/epsom salt douching a few times a week.

smoking out of dirty bongs makes a bitter stale flavor in the back of my throat.

dry pipes i let go a bit longer, but wiping the mouthpiece with an alcohol pad is a MUST. sometimes spit/resin crust forms on there and it's so fucking gross.

Should i clean my plate and fork? They still work. You can do whatever you like Urca.
