Tall Grass?

Hey All, Im a new grower and im going to grow outdoors for my first ever grow. I have 9 seeds all togeather iv gotten 4 Females already.
So my question is, dose tall native grass affect the plants at all, cause I thought it might rot the steam, But I could just cut the grass away from the steam.
