Tangie nitrogen def?

Just want a second opinion on this. Thinking its nitrogen def, but im not very good at diagnosing sick plants.

All my 4 seedlings have been fed the same and only this tangie is not happy. Dropping and light green leaves, with the bottom leaves beginning to yellow.

(One on the left is tangie, right is candy kush for comparison)

I am feeding tap water (400ppm from the tap) and floranova bloom at 100-200ppm.

If it is nitrogen deficiency should I feed floranova bloom? At what PPM's? I was thinking of increasing to 300ppm but didnt want to compound any issues by over feeding nutes.

Thank you

If it was a an aero cloner situation than you would be able to let them root out quite a bit more before transplant. I dont think the cube can hold substantial amounts of nutrients for the plant to keep growing efficiently by hand watering it like that, so I agree that a transplant into a medium or into DWC would be the way to go.

I put the tangie in its Rockwool cube, it's not showing signs of improvement as yet. In these situations is it best to leave it alone? Water it often or lower nutrients?

Not sure how long it takes for recovery but there is still no improvement. Ive fed with some slightly higher N nutrients. Any more advise would be great!

How much and what exact nutrients are you feeding? Do you have a pH/ppm meter? I would have already transferred to coco coir or DWC bucket by now, so I dont know much about growing in rockwool cubes -- maybe someone can chime in.

If your vegging with bloom and any kind of decent light your going to end up with N def. I'd be feeding Floranova Grow at 3-400 ppm to start, bumping up 1-200 ppm a week while watching for any "tip burn"(over fertilized) finish veg 600-1000ppm depending on strain(kandy will take allot). Then transition or switch to bloom.

I'd start with a heavy flush with veg nutes then wait till they're thirsty again(1-2 days). Don't over water.

Cubes can hold as much roots as YOU can keep feed and watered:shock:20170124_120954.jpg

Btw NOT Floranova

The blooming stage requires bring down levels of nitrogen. It is exceptionally important to get a supplement framework that has bring down levels of nitrogen for the span of the plants life cycle.

It's basic for pot plants to show indications of nitrogen lack when the plant is moving toward collect time. This is a positive sign for your plant. An overabundance of nitrogen quits maturing and diminishes the whole taste and aroma of your plant. This is the reason each "sprout" and blossoming supplement frameworks generally have a low measure of nitrogen.

Thanks for your input guys!

Im purely feeding floranova bloom based on the fact that I follow the Lucas/kiss method.

I will however be switching to the grow bottle because I have it, and clearly the plants are going to benefit from it.

Surprisingly the tangie has started shooting roots out the three inch cube since I put it in there so I can only imagine that it is getting over whatever is up with it. I also use xtreme gardening mykos and azos, the latter being a nitrogen source, im hoping that helped too.

I'll keep you updated if it does recover. I hope it does, ive heard such good things and orange is my favourite!
