The best way to get good plants is to make sure they have
Water
Nutes
Light
Fresh air
Might be forgetting something
Anyways I used to grow in Coco bags with drainage saucers underneath. Each time i watered I made fresh nutrients. I got huge plants this way though it could have been my strain dyanomite diesel.
Anyways the point being is that if you recirculate your hydroponics, as the water evaporates and the plants eat the nutrients, the salts built up in the water, or they don't build up and the next time you add nutrients the levels get way too high. By making a fresh batch of nutrients each time you water instead of recirculating you prevent the tds from getting too high.
Also, using deionized water would make a huge difference because of the shit that's in the tap water, it makes it so you can't go full strength
So I say keep watering with nutes and let it drain out , don't recirculate and then add nutes more nutes to water that has salt building up into it
