Tds?

Alright help me out here. My TDS meter came. Now I'm on my first week of growing(5 days to be exact.) I followed my nute companies chart. They say at week 1 I should be at 500 PPM and 1 EC. Well my readings are coming back at 70 PPM which I'm assuming its 700 PPM and my EC is at 1.4. But I'm getting different readings in different parts of the res. Some parts say 70 PPM and some say 55 and the EC of 1.2. And if needed how do I fix the problem??????????

stir the water up really well, wait 15 minutes. did you check your tap water and see what reading you get. is it a cheap meter? thats fine i use cheap meters i just calibrate every 2 weeks. 1.4 ec = 1000 ppm

the higher readings are going to be at the bottom or where you added the nutes into the water. make sure the water is being agitated when you add your nutes

well mine is 1EC=500PPM so 1.5EC=750PPM
