Tea slime help needed

I knows it's a stupid one!!! but I was not with it yesterday ... I added my tea and forgot to strain it and I've got a lot of thick slime today ... Not sure if bad or it's just because of the dissolved earthworm casting ? I kept the bottom 4 l in the fridge and that too has a thick slime sediment at the bottom of the bottles ? Is it safe to leave in the rdwc ? And just check the pumps ? Help needed ?

IME if the tea was brewed properly that slime doesn't hurt anything. That being said, you don't want your pumps sucking up a bunch of goo. So make a judgement call i guess.

Try brewing with the casting in a sock, and spunge the sock out on the side of the bucket a few times throughout the brew. I get that goo on my airstones, but never in the bottom of my bucket like you described.

Another thing is i brew 4 gallons, and only use the top 3. The bottom gallon is too full of dirt and particulate for my hydro so i just chuck it out on my grass.

Good luck

when i brew tea I use a 5 gallon bucket paint strainer...its a fine mesh bag made of nylon...get at any paint store or lowes or home depot....its a strainer...you get less water contamination of the stuff you make tea with in the water....its like 2 for 3.00...work great...if there is any stuff in the bucket..I just strain into another bucket useing a old t shirt..catches 99% of the stuff

Thanks for the reply bro,

The tea was brewed properly, I normally strain it but for some stupid reason I forgot , the slime I described was noticeable on the roots last night all fine today brown slime all over some worse it's an 18 pot rdwc I've washed it off and roots appeared healthy, so fingers crossed , it did look like the bad slime I had. but this all happened in 12 hours since I added the tea a good tea .
