Tech support needed regarding UPS with HPS250w

Greetings,
thank you for reading this thread, hopefully you will be able to help me deal with my troubles.

I have regular drops of power for 1-5 seconds once or twice a day, so I bought an UPS Eaton E5 1500iUSB to "jump" in when those drops happen.
What worries me is that I use 250 W hps, and when timer starts up the sistem, UPS shows 105% output load, or 1000W +.
After a minute it drops and holds at about 950w and 78% output load, but in my opinion it is still too much?
The "powerline" path would be:
Main socket>UPS>Timer>15m cable>fans+lights

I dont know about electricity so I am asking here,what could be causing it,and is this too much for my ups to handle?
When I asked in the shop I specificaly asked for a UPS that can withstand 400W HPS so that I am definitely sure it will work, but now that I saw 900W load and 78% im worryed about it going to flames or exploding while im not home.

Hoping to an answer or redirection to another forum/contact?

It is exactly this one, but I dont see those ratings specified

Your UPS can handle only 900w. That's why at 1000w the UPS is over loaded.

"Rating (VA/Watts) 1500VA/900W"

Try to get a bigger UPS or two. Fans and blowers in one, lights in the other.

Thank you for your answer but what I dont understand is how does it take 900W when the lamp is rated 250w?
I asked some electricians and they say it should peak at 1-2kw at start and in no more than a minute fall to a maximum of 350-400w.

So, you have a ballast and a HPS 250w lamp. How many W in each fan and blower ?

2x 10W fans
1x50W fan

Update:
I unpluged the sistem from UPS and connected it to a dedicated Energy meter: here I get a reading of 325W.
Now definitely I know something is troubling/stressing UPS but I cant figure why and how can I fix it.

i would call the manufacturer. i think it's got something to do with the bulb being a resistve load and the ballast inductive. or possibly the voltage spike when power is first applied

Well, after more than 2 weeks I still dont get ANY answer from manufacturer of this UPS.
I am just not gonna use it and let the lamp turn off/on when power drops, hopefully it wont damage the HPS badly.
