temperature vs humidity

hi all!

today I finally finished my grow cab and I am testing it right now (while I germinate my seed).

my temps are perfect 27 degrees celsius but hygrometer shows 25% relative humidity in the box. I placed 3 cups with water under my 250W hps bulb and will see what will happen.

any suggestions or advice about increasing humidity without increasing temperature? or when I put moist soil in the cab and actually start growing it will rise itself?

if I get some input here, will start grow journal and I know ya all will want to see it because its stealth, its neat, its white widow and its completely illegal.

PEACE

Once you begin it will rise as the plants grow.

I would be happy with an ambient RH of 25% before anything is in the cab

Yeah, the humidity rises with the amount of foliage due to increased perspiration. As for now, wet a towel and hang it in front of a fan to increase humidity at a budget. Cups won't help much because of their small surface area, so if you want to use some containers use something like a water tray from an unused pot (high surface area to volume ration, hence you get the most evaporation per unit of time).
Good luck and enjoy your grow.

I experienced just this when I started growing. Tried everything, wet towels hanging, buckets of water, mist spraying when the plants were out of the tent. None of it really worked. Also none of it was really needed, as I have always ended up with good weed despite of the low humidity continuing.

thanks guys.
I really just wanted to be sure. yeah it means only one thing - I am ready to start.
my seeds are still under paper towel. but when we are ready, seed goes into propagation and I am writing grow journal.

p.s. that's fucking sweet cab I made. and it's surprisingly quiet too :peace:
