Im running 3 600w in my grow space, ive just flipped to 12/12 from 24/0 and im having trouble with my temps.
when my lights are running the temps hit mid 80`s when there off its dropping to mid 60`s. I left my extract running constant and my intake off. if i put a heating tube with a thermostat in would that work or would my extract just pull the heat straight out?

why is your intake off? you should prolly turn it it on and make sure its pulling in cool air, it will help with the temps

I switch it off because temps would drop even lower if i left that running when my lights are off , my extract still pulls enough fresh air in when the intake fan is off. Would mid to low 60`s be o.k or am i right in thinking its to much of a change in temps. (nooooob) Thanks

where are you growing? are you in a basement... if the air temp is 60 degrees, what is the soil temp.. personally.. i have a humidifier in my grow tent because im growing in a basement, and the moisture in the air keeps the temps where i need them to be at nght

day/night variable fan speed controller- photosensitive. Set your intake/out take fan to a temperature, set 3, 5, or 7 degree swing, and the rest will take care of itself. It's the ONLY 1 item purchase that I've ever had an instant fix on.

Hi inupe im growing in my loft in the u.k, my flower room is 8 foot x 11 foot have 4 600w and i have an ajoining veg room 4x 10 with 2 600w not sure about the inline fan sizes but i have a 6" carbon filter with inline extract fan pulling through it and a 4" inline pushing air in in the flower and the extract is pulling air from the veg room which is also being supplied by a 4" inline. The trouble is i have insulated the room too well hence the tempreture drop. and not sure what the soil temps are i shall check.(what temp should be good for the soil. just need to up the temps at lights off as i will be putting a couple MORE oscillating fans below the lights to get the temp down when lights on. So would a tube heater work or would the extract just pull it straight out. Like i said im new at this.

Cheers bayou i did actually have that in mind think i will purchase one straight away and see how that goes. Thanks again

I had the exact same problem and temperatures as you. Photosensitive variable fan speed controller. It fixed all of my temperature issues in a single night. THe room gets too hot, turns on the intake and pushes cold air in, it gets too cold and the controller turns off the intake allowing the room to naturally heat up a bit. you could sync your intake and exhaust onto one of these and then it will autoregulate the exhaust too and allow for more heat to build up as well, but never to a dangerous level. Also control over the timing on your intake and outtake like this allows for you to control your humidity better as well.

a small heater works great......better yet get a cooling/heating stat...lol...it will turn on yer heater and turn it off when exhaust fans are on....ie the cooling part....
