Testing before harvesting...need some help

hey guys...my plants gonna be done in the next two weeks. if i wanna try sum will it be alright to smoke right now? If so how should I cut a little nug off & how should I dry it? Kinda wanna try it out tonight u know?

I feel yeah. You little eager beaver. Here's what you do....Take a small nug from plant, preferably middle, inside. And clean it up (trim). Then put it in a pie pan and set it on top of a 60 watt bulb. Bud just shy of on top off bulb. 20-40 mins (move it around from time to time) you can try it. Caution may be harsh.

Nice man thanks for the reply. I never ended up clippin a nug off...still quite a lot of white hairs. Prolly pick one off in a couple days tho thanks for the advice!

I test my shit all the time.........try not to cut it to early or your just waisting your time.

Put a nug in the oven on 190 degrees.....and depending on the nug size the heat when take away the moisture in around 30 minutes or so

try microwaving it for 20 second intervals and flipping it on a paper towel. don't go over 2 minutes. i think it would normally be ready in about a minute and a half or so

Damn microwave? Im about to cut a nice little nug off and put it in the oven for maybe 5 minutes. Then hang it over a 60W bulb for another couple minutes. Hope it aint too early and I definitely hope I get a good high...first grow!

how'd that work out?

Well I ended up cutting a small nug and placing it in the oven at 175*F for maybe 20 minutes?...grinded it up and it looked like fucking brocolli it was so damn green lol. Was still damp as hell but it weighed 1.1g. Got high as hell....smoothest shit I've smoked in a long time. Great up & down...smells like pure skunk too lmfao.

If you are looking to test the potency of your plants what you do is get a glass baking pan, place the bud on the glass pan, then preheat your oven to the lowest degree it can be set to...after that place the pan in the oven, leaving the oven cracked open as not to overheat the bud, check every 15 minutes till dry.... i have tried many methods and this has proven to be the best....smooth smoke and this method preserves the most smell and taste over the microwave and light bulb methods...well good luck
