random, but relevant question: If I were to grow a plant like Qrazy Train for 14 days seedling stage, 30-40 days veg, and 55-60 days flowering, and I was growing in roots organic soil with a small layer of hydroton clay balls for drainage, how big of a pot would I need? Im using three gallons now and its much too small, Im thinking of getting 5 gallon air pots, but I was wondering if thats too little, and I should buy 7gals instead. thanks

IMO,id get the 7g i use em and you need a lttle extra space open at top to water.I have the 5g and wish id got the 7s because of the amount of water these pots seem to need. For example, i had to water 2-3 weeks flower everday, and almost a ltr at a time. These pots breath and evaporate alot, but i love them over a plastic pot.Mistake i made with them was i sit one on the inside of a plastic pot to get closer to light,Well when i watered it went all the way thru to the bottom of the plastic pot and left water in the plastic pot. I noticed plant was looking kinda weird and when i took it out of the plastic pot there were roots 3ft long tht had grew thru the fabric and were sitting in the water. They also work great in trays for Soiless grows.Beech

Air pot does change it... you can grow a larger plant in an airpot than you can in a normal pot.... so you can grow a plant in the 5 gallon airpot the same size as in a 7 or 8 gallon... the roots use the interior of the pot more effectively in an airpot and don't get rootbound as quickly. So you should be fine with a 5 gallon for that amount of veg time for sure.

You should in fact be fine with a 3 gallon air pot for that amount of veg time. I've grown that long and flowered out in 2.4 gallon airpots with no problems at all... and my 3.4 gallon grows monsters... this is my first flower out in the 5 gallon air pot... (sorry no pretty buds)

Sry, thought you were talking about smart pots, thts what i was talking about there a fabric pot. There supposed to prevent root curling and self pruning, and a great improvement over the ole regular plastic pots.I just putem in the washer and wash em for next grow to remove the salt buildup on the outside of the fabric.Beech

There is a petition for Texas secession that now has over 116,000 signatures and gaining. This petition is Texans asking the American government to "Peacefully Secede from the union, and create its own NEW government.". Many people seem to think this is about racism or Obama, which is simply and utter Bull Shit. True, you cannot deny that racist and anti-Obama supporters will sign the petition, but that has nothing to do with the spirit of Texans. (An Texas may not even secede first. Colorado and Washington are actually on the verge of civil war with the government right now.)

What this petition is about is our RIGHT (allowed to us by the union itself) to secede. Texas was NEVER meant to stay in the union, the only reason we joined the union in the first place is to solidify our existence on world maps, and keep the Mexican government out. This isn't about a single election or a single group that didn't like the outcome of the election (I'm actually proud of America for choosing Obama over Romney, Romney would have done the same thing he's always done when he's the "boss". Cut all government into pieces, and allow only the strongest to survive, whole he make money whether or not any of them survive.

Some people believe this union is too strong, and that the president or laws won't let this happen. But that's not how the country works. The same way marijuana is legal in 2 states but not federally, the same way gay marriage is legal in some states but not federally, Texas WILL secede (as it was always meant to), and the government simply will not acknowledge it. But if they choose not to allow a state its rights and continue DEA, FBI, CIA, etc operations in Texas, the will start a war.

Another thing "patriots" (as I call them) like to say is "Rick Perry heard about this and said he wouldn't do it." First off, in 2009 Rick Perry said "Texas is an independent republic and can leave the union, I will consider that option.". He isn't saying no now because he's against it, he's saying no because he's waiting for 50% of Texas to want it. And even if he never does it, the Texas state constitution says (paraphrased) "If Texans don't like the things their government is doing, they should, and have full right to, take it back. (Destroy the current government and create one by the people).

It starts with this petition (anyone in the United States can sign), it already has enough signatures to force the president to publicly talk about it. After that the governor of Texas will wait for a confirmation of at least 50% of Texas support, then it's real, whether or not the governor supports it.

Here is the petition (please sign):

If Texas Secedes it'll be awesome, we'll have an amazing economy and a new dollar worth more than the US Dollar (because it will be backed by gold, silver, oil, or hash. USD are just paper). Mexicans will consider it Mexico and will flood in, changing Texas politics. There will be new police, judges and officials of all kinds. Counties and cities will be like states, so there will be extreme diversity of law and and explosion of trade between america an Mexico through Texas. And if America cuts off trade, it will still happen, just illegally (but if america cuts of trade, they will be hurting themselves since Texas will still make illegal money, and the American government won't be able to tax or tariff the goods.

Instead of arguing about whether or not this is going to happen, we should start petitioning and thinking on the details so everything can go smoothly. Because it IS happening, in 2-10 years he country of Texas will once again be recognized as a free nation by more than just its citizens.

Smart pots are the same principle as airpots. The only main difference is that air can't pass underneath the bottom of a smart pot (higher potential for root rot) but it does on an airpot... other than that they're the same principle. Most people prefer the smart pots because they're easier to water and less messy. So what I said previously applies to smart pots as well :)

Nope, but reading up on it, so I'm starting at 0. I had no idea what could be done with a grow light and a small space. It'll probably be a while before I know enough to ask even the stupid questions..)
There's a lot of good information on the site. If you have a spot and a light, all you need is a fan, some soil, a few seeds and you'll be off to the races. Don't get caught up in needing a thousand bucks worth of snake oils and lucky charms to get a good grow going. I'll try to find you a couple of links to help get you started, in the mean time you should check out https://www.rollitup.org/newbie-central/. The ones marked sticky generally has the best information.

https://petitions.whitehouse.gov/petition/peacefully-grant-state-texas-withdraw-united-states-america-and-create-its-own-new-government/BmdWCP8BThis is just the beginning, the president now has to put a statement on the White House website about Texas leaving the union. If he says we can do it, Texans will want to do it and it'll help push things forward. If he says we can't do it, Texans will want to do it and it'll help push things forward.
Dude the president doesn't have to do SHIT. This is the same president who ignored MULTIPLE marijuana legalization petitions that met the # of people required to get it on the list for discussion. The whole 'if you get X signatures on your petition we'll discuss it' is just BULLSHIT designed to pacify the plebes. If you petition them something they want to discuss they will, if not they ignore it. Texans don't care about doing shit because this president says we can or can't. The US will never let texas secede anyway we're way too valuable to lose. The only way Texas ever secedes is if the US is otherwise too weak to do anything about it (in other words the shit has completely hit the fan, in which case most people will just be worried about survival, not secession). PS - Talking about seceding is like pulling out a gun on someone. You don't do it unless you're willing to pull the trigger. All it does is make us look bad to the few remaining otherwise reasonable people in the country (tho i'm not sure how many of those there are left after the election results) and the continuing subject of mockery of people like Unclefuck. By the time it's bad enough for texas to secede, we'll be a democrat state again and it's irrelevant -- and if you don't know that that's happening... start checking out your demographics. Maybe at least then the mota will be legal? ;)OK well I'm going to stop before I go into the full on old angry white male rant.
