Texas Growers Unite!

Bubba is the bomb dig!! people don't really don't understand how strong or tasty bubba is!, I don't know if you've tried the buzurkle ( bubba crossed to, not to purple urkle)but just to urkle, which is better then the og ) but it's the sweetest I've had yet! like a grape flavored candy with a cream after taste, I give bubba and buzurkle a 9.5...
Yeah I like 55 gallon idea myself and I make my own soil for (DIRT CHEAP) LOL.. thanks bro...

Did you really ask if 55 gallons is too much??? Hell no it aint too much bro!!! Its like the old saying.... GO BIG OR GO HOME!!!

I say go for it/ If you can afford the soil, do it. Fuck yeah man, everything is BIGGER in TEXAS!!!

I use 5 gallon buckets at the minimum. But I love BIGGER TOTES. Here check this pic of homegrown Bubba Kush

I couldnt fit the whole plant in one pic so I had to take two... Hope ya dont mind :bigjoint:

I am a newb when it comes to growing , I just started out on my first grow. I got 2 fem AK-48 plants that are 21 days old and aren't looking bad. Anyways I just read a article in High Times that discussed Tissue Culturing.

This may be something to consider. 1 tissue sample could in fact produce 100s if not thousands of genetic clones from which the tissue sample was taken. Another advantage is that you could start a plant that is completely free from diseases and pests. In other words you could start with a clean slate of familiar genes, even when taking tissue samples from plants that are sickly or pest-ridden.

Overall tissue culture removes the need to keep mother plants. There is even a starter set you can order to do this at home. Check out www.planttc.com . The site explains it better than I can.

Lookin forward to the John Wayne Strain !:bigjoint:

Peace

tissue huh im gonna have to check that out from my understanding if they r using a gene gun or somethin like that to get the tissue you mess up the other cells around the plant from where you took your sample sounds intersting though man

Dude, I had Your G-13/Haze males, 4 of them..... I even thought about taking the Pollen, & saving it for you. We where both, MIA at the time. Spilled milk, time to move on.
I got a plan, Fella's. All my seeds are crossed-up with each other. I'm going shopping this winter, for all pure strains. I'll start with my Home Base Babies, Afghan, Kali Orange Bud, Master Kush, but also, the Sativa's. My KC Brains; Easy Sativa was 8 & 1/2 feet tall, only 2 weeks into flowering, when I pulled up all of my 30 Ladies on 9-11. It's another (sad) story. Anyway, I am looking to start germming on Dec. 1st, veg & pre sex until May, then set out for Summer vacation. I haven't seen Easy Sativa on KC Brains for quite sometime. I will contact them... I am interested in the African Landrace also. The climate may match ours, fairly close. I want a 20 ft. tall bitch, lots of them. I took careful note, via tears, of the root system on the big Mamma's. Feeders was only 18 inches out. I feed a few inches outside the feeder roots, to force the feeders to stretch. Tap wasn't as deep as I had thought, only about 18 inches, also. But that was planting ON bare ground, built up with 2 full truck-loads of Rabbit manure, then worms, greensand, Epson Salt, Mycrobial Fungi, Molasses, Aleo, Corn Meal, Spiders, Praying Mantis (Fred) & didn't get to do the Zealite. The fish meal & fish bone meal, blood, leather, feather, etc. is of interest, also. My idea won't work. Wanted US to get different strains, then switch off at the end of 2010. Dumb Me.

I would had loved some g-13 jizz for myself.. I really want a mk-ultra, charles kush, or bubba kush male in my breeding program. But my only down fall is all my connections only supply me with female cuts. No seeds I was lucky to get this comrade which is ( white russian x black russian) crossed to blue apollo which I assume is a ( blue berry x apollo 11) which only the orginal breeder knows, but to my knowledge is very legit, but flaky.

And I do not know anybody that has ordered from a legit seed bank and has got legit seeds. its all is very confusing. Thats why Im sticking with what I have, I know my friend was in Germany for 8 years and I know her seeds are from germany I do not know the strains, but she explained most were very skunky, so Im growing out hundreds of them, just keeping the strongest of them with the best pheno's, last winter I messed up pretty bad i fucked up 8 smash berry seeds by placing them in coco chucks which held no water at all, and my crop probably suffered from under watering since I turn down drip system due to too many different strains. well my cuts did just fine but seeding need alot more water then I could supply, which is why I took a long look at my chosing of a soiless mix, now I use three different kinds of coco along with my own custom organic mix, and I went back to fish shit for veg nutes which I strongly suggest to anyone that is growing on large scale, it's organic and cheap and you can find it at any lowes and it works great! adding more oils and a (stand alone) smell which is unforgetable. along with seaweed extract. but this time my soil is perfect my nutes are more at ease and everything is ph'd perfect, my climate control is better and my lights are stronger. Im about to but two 1000's and two flip flops which I discussed before ( turning two ballast into four buy using the ballast to light the next room when the first goes off) so basically one room turns off and the next room turns on off the same ballast ( what the lighting industry doesn't want you to know) but you have to use maginetic ballast (not digital) and still I still have two 400 mh's for veg with a 600 hps on a 6ft light mover rail. then a seperate closet for just rooting with clf's still not to concerned with tech5's maybe one day I will make the switch but for now my shoplights are doing just fine.

To south texas if your looking for a great out sativa that will get you into 20ft plus check out amnesia haze from soma, I had rooted some cuts from a friend and flowered them as they rooted and still ended up four footers inside with a huge yield, all I can say is amnesia haze is a great yielder and trully some exotic smoke is still does not offer the punch I am looking for but if smoke joints like cigs (like me) and try to hold a daily job amnesia haze is GREAT! but thats it..

And yes MIA is best stay low, and fly high. right? I lost a small outdoor crop this year 30+ plants which Intend to be 6 footers due to being under prepared I understand, I've had to work for a BS wage just to make it by, which as long as I live will NEVER HAPPEN AGAIN! If I have to pay high ass rent in denver or cali, I will make my living by doing what I love most (like my father taught me) and anyone who stands in my way will be buried in dust! :fire:

Just felt like showin' my lil' plant off. She's 2 weeks old, and a little over 3 inches. Just started her on FF nutes today. She took it well, even for the high PH spike before I PH down'd the soil.

Yes I did transplant. At the time I took the picture it was 5 inches across. I moved the lights up to allow a little stretching to get light to the middle of the plant. The strain is Nirvana Seeds Master Kush feminized.
