The love of my life...Anna.... AKA AOS#3.... This girl has been my best work so far but she made it easy... The only thing I did wrong I'm thinking was too much SS in the pot, same as all the girls of this past seed run... but she is definitely the best looking, and almost best smelling but between the querkle and jilly I grew last year its kinda tough to say but so far this one has just about everything right going on, I'm hoping shes potent and doesnt just look like a knockout...... Shes right around day 65 at the moment due to get chopped any day now but because she still has food she doesnt wanna finish... Theres very little ambers going on but trichs are getting mostly cloudy now so I could possibly take her today, but I'd rather go a bit longer, the trichs definitely arent anywhere near amber yet so she isnt ready... I try to wait until I see a few at least, I've always harvested on the early side because I would look at the trichs so often I'd break them and which would cause me to think that I went too long but I'm starting to get the harvest part, which has been the hardest part to figure out for me... The rest is basically the effort that goes in shows on what comes out of the other side now....

These kinda genetics help though...

Cheese Quake#1, this one is right around 60 days atm... again... I overfilled the pot with SS and they still have food so they dont wanna finish....... but she is the last of 4 fems out of a 5 pack... of those 4 females, I have 3 left to choose from as I got 1 hermie but all 3 of the others are basically keepers, fucking amazing herb so far with very little cure and shitty drying and curing conditions (still running on extension cords due to sandy....)... I have to make a choice to keep 1 maybe 2 soon but I'm gonna grow them all out again without over feeding/filling the pot with SS.... I'm out of SS atm anyhow, waiting on stuff to make a new batch with roots (FINALLY.... that shit has been so hard to get for me, didnt realize how much perlite was in it...bought a bag of it and dont need it for once...) so this next round is gonna be done with act teas and the remaining SS I have to top dress with along with some amending here and there, maybe a little general organics bio marine and grow here and there if I have to but mostly teas I'm figuring... not how I wanted to do this round but $ or lack thereof to get a new batch of SS going was the cause, but the following round will be done with straight SS... cant wait... no more half batches of SS either... I almost wish I had space and funds to make 2 or 3 batches at a time because it is THEEE way to grow if you havent figured that out yet.... I wish the TGA soil was out here on the east side but I'm not that lucky unless I've missed something.... but another thing I hope happens sooner than later....

Hey nerds, I'm at 4 weeks my AO is starting to sputter a little bit in the nitrogen dept. I have probably close to 1 gallon of space left in my 7 gallon smarties, and I'm wondering if I should fully top it off with super soil, or if I'd be better off with just straight castings? Would love any input you all have on this.

Happy Sunday. :peace:

1 gallon may be overkill at 4 weeks... about 1/2" of super soil is all you want at this point unless it's long flower... even 1/2" may be pushing it if it's an 8 week plant. If you're going 9-10 weeks, go for it. But definitely don't put too much SS in if it's an 8 week plant you only want N for another couple weeks. You might want to go with a tea too as the roots aren't going to grow up into the new soil as it's too close to the surface so the super soil is mainly only going to provide nutes when you water and the nutes leech down into the soil. If you're watering every day or two then not a problem :)

Thanks Reef, I'm watering every third day right now, but going to be out of town for a couple days (wifey holding down the fort), so I don't have time to bust out a tea immediately. I was more looking for something that would help in the top dressing dept, so this sounds like the right thing, and then when I get back I'll do a tea or two. . .

I'm with Reef on the tea... I'd go with a ACT if you have the gear for it, Bobotrank. Maybe a guano tea?

I'd try to only feed it what it needs at this point so you don't end up prolonging the flowering period by adding too much food to the soil. If you need a good all around tea, the Seabird and Indo guano with some kelp could benefit you. If your really lacking and need more nitrogen you could substitute the Seabird for high N guano like the Mexican guano, but it's situation dependent! A boost in phosphorous could benefit you at this stage of bloom... but it's hard saying what you need without seeing the plant.

ACT will help feed the beneficials in the soil, making more food available for the plant to uptake.
Good Luck! Dub

A Vortex that I am trimming up right now.

The smell is so strong, my eyes and nose are tingling a bit. The smell is of a mango, cheese, skunky wonder.
