They are excellent BUT I don't have a clue how they are made.
I'd be interested to find out also. :-P

i don't think you "make" thai sticks, it just grows that way.
if you don't want to go to thailand, try sagada mountain province, philippines.
(the netherlands of south east asia)
everything grown there is old school thai variety. purely cerebral high.

They are made that way.....its a bunch of bud glued to a bamboo splinter, with hash oil I believe, wrapped w twine. I havent had any in 20 years...

It was the bomb back then.....good luck finding it, kinda like finding a Quaalude theese days!

I've come across two types. The first I bought in Amsterdam from a couple of coffeeshops and it was just grass bud, not stripped off the bud sticks. Was not very expensive,3-4 euros a gram, and was very dark, sweet smelling stalky bud. The second was as mentioned earlier and was oily bud wrapped round a bamboo stick, coated with dryer bud, a few leaves and tied with thin twine. Do not know which is the real thing. The latter was certainly better, but you know how these urban myths start.

Back in the day, ThaiStick used to be "da Bomb". Back when it took a half a joint to get a buzz on. ThaiStick would do the trick with one or two hits - three or four hits and you were baked! It wasn't around "all the time", so we never really developed a tolerance for it. I'm sure that it wasn't any stronger than some of the "Good Stuff" going around today - but, "oh, the memories".

The trick was that after they wrapped the potent Thai buds onto the Bamboo sticks; they dipped it into a diluted, milky, solution of Opium (appearantly now they use Honey Oil). If I had known then what I know now, that that shit had Opium on it, I probably wouldn't have tried it back in the 70's. At the time - who knew?

Just do a good Google Search for "Thai Stick" - there are plenty of good stories. But to tell you the truth - the good bud of today has nothing to be ashamed of!

thai sticks were used in the late 80's early 70's it was made with pure maryjane buds and some people poked stems through them but they were usually made by using rasta string or a bamboo stick and poking it through like shish ka bobs the only place you can ge thtem in the us is in some places in california now a days. Thai sticks were very potent back then because the were dipped in hashiish oils or opium. if you need to know anything else hit me back

You could prob. replicate it... its just a Thai strain, that is rolled into a stick and wrapped in a string then packaged in wax paper... In Mexico they make bricks, in Thailand they make Sticks...

dude just take some nice lightly dried buds (max 5 days of drying in normal conditions)..line them up in the middle of a piece of newspaper, roll it tight take some thin wire or whatever and pull and squeese it to a tight roll, place them dry and not to cold, wait 10 days, then they have fermatized lovely, smoke it and enjoy

The thai sticks of the early '70s came from Thailand. The bud was wrapped on a stick and tied. The reason for this was if you saw the bud in a bag you probably wouldn't buy it back. Little pop corn, stringy bud. That's the characteristics of the strain. They had to compete with some good bag appeal mex back then. There were always rumors going around that some where being sprayed with opium due to the strength of the pot.

this older guy 3 times our age had chocolate thai wrapped around a stick in a spiral, i was like 15, early 90's

he rolled a little spliff with that stuff, man it got 5 of us super baked for several hours, shortly after we all partook we found ourselves deep into various "projects" just in the zone going for it haha, it TOTALLY tasted chocolaty too! distinctly, not just a tiny hint of chocolate, this was CHOCOLATE IN YOUR FACE type of taste!

man i have never forgotten that, i have 1 thai from world of seeds going right now, it's not chocolate, but if it gives me a similar effect to the chocolate i'm going to be super stoked about it *nom nom, get busy!*
