I would like to thank this forum for all the help you have giving me.
I was able to achieve something I've wanted to do for a long time.
That said, with the info you have all supplied I was able to do everything wrong and yet have a decent yield.
I cracked four seeds. Two died with two growing. The first to break through the soil turned out to be a female.
Once I figured out which one was a male I chopped it and made my first mistake. I threw him away in a plastic bag and forgot to empty the trash. So even though I threw him into a big black plastic bag, rolled it up, chucked it into a barrel, and threw more rubbish int the barrel, pollen was still able to escape and fertilize a few of the flowers. I got about a dozen seeds.
I could go on as to how I was able to make her suffer but all in all she was a trooper. After drying and curing, ( I'm sure I'm doing some of that wrong too), she yielded about an oz.
This was done from bag seed. The results are better, I think, than what's on the street.
Again thanks to all.
