I started out with a 125w 6400k Full spec cfl with a custom enclosure, now i just added a 175w 4000k Metal Halide i got for free. Wow did it ever make a change. It put a stop to the stretch, and with me taking the plant outside for 4 hours a day it looks great! no pics sorry.

Has anyone ever added a CFL into a Metal halide before?...im sure someone has just would like to see some pics of the results.

EDIT: pic added.

ive honestly always written up cfls as a bad idea in general, you got the mh now if you want to supplement use hps.

Yes if you like what cfl/mh combo does try mh/hps combo it will get you more than that little extra.

cfl's are good for micro grows and clones and babies though, I like them for that.

from the pic i just attached the top has started to become more compact and the stretching has slowed. The branch's have started to grow faster than the top however now, they are pushing threw.

Your plants and light are too spread out away from the mylar, so the mylar isn't getting much chance to reflect good light into the bottom of the plant. I'd shove that all in a corner closer to the mylar and move the light accordingly.

I mean if you want that extra like you said...
