I was reading on homemade honey oil and thought someone said used stems and leaves in tube. I know what you put in like dank buds get best oil but if you can instead of throwing out the stems do they contain anything to extract with some good leaf not fan leaves, trim.

Yea figured as much just checking, thanks
Unless you have literally tons of it theres not much point bothering with stems as others said you just end up with more stuff in it you dont want true from truecanna was talking about on a podcast he was doing it for some morrocan farmers after they made hash from it to see if theres anything left think it was like 1% return from stems using butane but thats with alot of material so hardly worth the trouble really

I actually saved all my stems this last grow, I was thinking the same thing as you. I noticed the stem smells much different than the flower most times so I was curious as to whether that would make for a different flavor extract. I am going to do a quick wash with ISO and see what comes of it.

Yea let me know what you get if it's even smokeable.
That and a video had a guy using stems he grinded up with a powerful grinder cause it will break blades literally chopping sticks. He had a mini wood chipper for big stuff. He did get some oil but it was used for a lotion not to edible or smokeable I believe. He used pounds of stalks for a little dish of oil.

when i first started to learn how to grow ,there were ton's of stems laying around, so one day i peeled the outer layer of the stem off and smoked it. it had a very very mild buzz, i wouldent bother again

Quality in = quality out
Stems and fans don't have enough of anything worthwhile to spend the time and solvent extracting from them. It will likely pull more of what you dont want like lipids etc and make your oil lesser quality.
On a similar note, I see that some people actually juice the entire plant and drink down the raw juice.

I have to imagine that with such a fibrous plant, it’s a lot of vegetation for a very small glass of juice…

Possibly the potential nebulous health benefits are worth it, but I don’t see how.

Yea I saw a video wood chipping and using pro blenders for garbage bags full of stalks to get a shot glass of liquid. Not worth
