THC levels before flowering.

Hey all.

Maybe a silly question but still a question.

Is there much or any thc build up in plants which have not been put into flowering?

Curious about this, as i have 4 mothers which i use for cloning, for myself
and friends. At times there is less clones being taken, but i still trim the
mothers to keep them at a nice maintained height.

So, all this excess foliage that i end up throwing away in times when clones
are not so highly needed, does it contain thc and can it be used for anything
other than compost etc?

Hope my question is understandable.

Looking forward to your replies.

Warning: i have not yet tried this but...

i've started saving all my trimmings - i plan on trying to make some hash.

i would assume (again - never did this) that the best hash would be made with buds. But i'm going to try keeping all my trimmings (even the males) to see how it turns out.

hopefully someone who has done this will let me know if i am wasting my time.

Would be nice if we could get some clarification on this :hump:

male plants still have thc in them. Though i guess its a very little amount, but if you shred up the whole plant and put it in some brownies, im sure you could get fucked up.

Its strain dependant but there will still be low levels of THC in an immature plant. The trimmings would be ok for oil or cannabutter. I doubt there would be enough trichome development to make hash.

seems to me that making oil is prolly the best option once you have collected sufficient trimmings....or you could ask fdd to lighten the load on his closet and supplement your trimmings with some of his bud...of which he has FAR too much! (did I actually say ? there is such a thoing as too much bud?)
