I'll agree that 12/12 is, and should be the standards, my flowering room never deviates from that, nor should most.
However, it should be noted that some long flowering sativas are widely regarded as best grown indoors under 10/14 light. I've never personally down this, but i've read a fair bit about it and its a pretty accepted practice done by alot of reputable growers.

Just an update on my 12/12 from seed grow.

so im gonna ask again what is a known strain that does well with this type of grow? read a post in here and it to point in the direction i was guessing anyway. fast early flowering high yield strains which hell we all want.so give me some specifics, please!

What guys glad I found this thread. I got three ladies going I did however veg for a week and then turned to 12/12. Strains are Great White Shark, Gigabud, and Arjans Haze #1. Plants are on Day number 30/23/2 numbers stand for days from sprout/ days since turning 12/12/ and then days flowering. I just started seeing tiny tiny hairs on all. Here are some pics of the three.

My next grow will be 6 plants.

(2) 12/12 day 1

(2) 12/12 day 7

(2) 12/12 day 14

I'll use Type #1 as it will stay the shortest and harvest first.

I've also learden Type #1 likes a littles nutes so I mix 1 gallon at full strungth. I use half to water all #3 they I add 8 oz of h2o to the left over anfish watering #1. For a while it will be one strain at a time, no more 3 strains at 1 time.

sounds good. Whoever grew the top 44 12/12 from seed what kind of lights were you using? Those plants look great? Looks like cfl nugs.

I dont see the point in vegging for a week. To me the great thing about 12/12 from seed, is that if you see a male, you can pull it and replace it easily and quickly. You don't need a veg and a flower room and you don't need to invest 4 weeks of foot space on a male. If you start talking about 1 week veg or 2 week veg, your creating two spaces again. If you have the space for two rooms you'd want to veg for longer than a week.

but a lot of 12/12 non-grower clam it's best to veg 2 weeks so a test sounds good. do two each way if the difference is nill then 12/12 it is. If were're wrong I'd like to Know.

It said flower 12/12 until you get them to the size you want, then cut the lights down to even less than 12/12. Like 8 hours of light and it will speed the flower time up even faster.

Sorry for the slow answer, mine are 52" on day77 and close to harvest.

So this one


Main light is a 430watt hps 2100k
some 26 watt cfl's 2600k
one 42watt cfl 2600k
one 24" T-12 Flow 20watt (secert weapon light) but i'll show you

it's for the 50"er it's a 1/3 up on them



If you wanted this one, if not thats my lights.

Strain #1 grows to 36" max with most stop around 29" - 31"
Strain #3 grow to 55" max with most stoping at 44" this grow has 4 over 50" and 1 over 48".

This was intensely cute. I have a weakness for cats... especially black ones. One of my cats looks JUST like these beauties...

okay i got a hermie in my garden 2nd grow ever so i know im not the most experienced but what are the consequences with this? wouldnt mind some all female seed but dont want to infect the whole garden. and unfourtunately its my best looking yielder of the bunch. should i cut any male flowers off trying to keep the rest. dam this is not cool been a fairly worry free grow but now this. so please help me.

can you post a pic. I thought I had a hermie but it was a seed area. (left over pollen from seed crop, this grow may have a seed or three per plant?)

I've only seen pics before. Hope it's not a hermie, if it is you will need to removie it before any pollen sack can open (safe for a week to 10 days) after that they can open any time. I can post a male in bloom pic if you need one. or pm "lucy kitten grower" aka MrsRocket she keeps most of the pic i take and i'd just be asking her anyway. she has the good laptop. i have the 902 MHz snail in the grow room. I just checked the hard drive is 23.5 GB.

I veg for one week to get the root system started a little bit. I'm a firm believer of more roots better and more bud. Also give rooting stimulator for the first two weeks. I use a little bit bigger pots also but I have less plants in one area also. Your buds look really great. I hope my ladies don't get that tall though.

I did most of mine for a week because it cuts down on the initial stretching of the plant.

My old eye's can't tell.

Take the plant out of the area, trim 1 peace you think is male. ICrush the piece if juicy it's an early boy. if dusty it's a late boy (pollen). or if a seed it's a girl. Hope it's just a seed. Have you had any male's in the past that opened their pollen sacks?
